    6th WR?

Who is our 6th WR on the roster, if we do keep 6?

Keep 7, or just dont count our returner as one.

Originally I thought they were leaning towards Ray-Ray.

McKenzie too a big step up and was the leader for a few weeks.

In the Panthers game Duke showed he can fill a roll missing from this roster.

After some serious thinking my vote is for Isaiah McKenzie. He is the most finished wr, can return kicks if needed and has big play ability.

I really like what Isaiah has done, but Duke potentially provides something we don't have on this offense - A red zone threat that will fight for 50-50 balls and win most of them.

But I would be happy with either.

Spuds(McKenzie) and Duke. Ray Ray is close, very close as Trump might say. But I think Flan and others have said it well enough. Spuds has impressed enough, and Duke has the SIZE that we've heard our various GMs talk about off and on for quite awhile, not to mention proven professional game skill in the CFL. You can't teach size, and it could really help the red zone difficulties this team has had. Not to mention, a guy who can fight for a pass is often seen as helpful to a QB whose accuracy is in question, should we ever face that situation. (I may change my mind after game 3, but this is what I'm feeling right now...which I know doesn't matter as much as what I feel after game 3).

Duke also showed his ability to work a TD where size wasn't the issue in our last game. With our record of injuries, keeping 7(or 6, if you just counted our epic return man for what he really is) seems fine by me. Of course, the tough question becomes who do you cut to do this, and this season that is even a more difficult proposition than usual. First cut would likely be someone like TJ Yeldon, but you might also have to consider FB Patrick DiMarco, even as much as a Process guy as he is. I haven't gotten that deep into the analytics yet though, why bother? Maybe after game 3. That's when you'll get your best feel for things as most folks here know.

Good thread, good question. Bots don't make threads like this, Meat.

I don’t think Robert Foster should be considered a shoe-in for the roster...have barely heard his name in TC practices and the same goes for preseason thus far. If McKenzie and Williams are working harder than Foster than I’d be down for passing on Foster.

Robert Foster definitely should be on the roster. It will be a good opportunity to learn from John Brown, and he has too much upside for very little salary to give up on now.

Foster has definitely been a disappointment but he flashed a too much potential last year to just give up on him.
