    Russophobic NYT at it Again

I'm not sure how folks can take the NYT seriously anymore. The most ironic part of the story, was them accusing someone else of fake news! :)

This article comes from a guy who hosts a progressive radio hour....so it should have more credibility with some of you.

    Russophobic NYT at it Again

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

Time and again, the self-styled newspaper of record proves it’s a national disgrace — a propaganda operation on the wrong side of major issues, especially geopolitical ones.

The Times pretends US wars of aggression against nonbelligerent states are all about democracy building and/or countering a threat to its security.

The US under both wings of its war party tolerates democracy the way it should be nowhere, especially not domestically.

Throughout the post WW II era, the only US threats were and remain invented ones. No real ones exist.

What the Times should explain to readers, it suppresses, acting as a mouthpiece for powerful US, other Western, Israeli interests, and their imperial allies.

When it comes to the rights of ordinary people, especially victims of the imperial state, the Times is AWOL.

Last week, a Russian experimental Rosatom corporation liquid-propellent rocket engine exploded at a military site’s offshore platform in the country’s Arkhangelsk region during engineering and technical work on its isotope sources.

The company’s director general Alexey Likhachev confirmed the incident, killing five specialists, others seriously burned, the explosion causing a brief radiation level increase in the area that was quickly contained.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said no radiation was released into the atmosphere, adding that its level around the incident’s site returned to normal.

The tragedy involved employees of the Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics.

Likhachev explained that “a new special product” was undergoing tests, indicating work “will certainly be completed,” safety of the engine in question to “be guaranteed.”

Developing sophisticated weapons, equipment and other technology entails risks. It comes with the territory, including accidents and other mishaps.

RT said it’s “unclear what type of ‘experimental’ missile or jet engine was being tested,” adding:

“The secrecy around the failed military test and initial tight-lipped statements by the Defense Ministry immediately triggered conspiracy theories about authorities trying to conceal nothing less than a Chernobyl-scale incident.”

Medical personnel on the scene aiding victims were “clearly visible unloading the injured without any additional precautions.”

Separately, images of a mushroom-shaped black smoke plume following a Siberia blast at a munitions depot appeared on social and conventional media, suggesting it was nuclear radiation from the Arkhangelsk region incident — a Big Lie.

The Russophobic NYT jumped on the incident, asking “(w)hat happened at Russia’s missile test site? Don’t expect a straight answer from Vladimir Putin’s government.”

The Times falsely accused Moscow of “fake news” following the rocket engine’s explosion. Suggesting a possible “Chernobyl” type incident is typical Times Russophobia.

It had to admit no increased radiation levels were reported in neighboring Finland or Norway while still on the warpath, roaring:

“(P)athetic, inchoate evasiveness of Russian authorities (sic) proved once again that the Kremlin is far more concerned with covering its behind (sic) than telling its people or the world what happened and how great the risk it carried (sic).”

Information I covered above showed Russian authorities explained plenty. Surely the Times and other establishment know what I learned.

Instead of full and accurate reporting, what journalism the way it’s supposed to be is all about, the Times focused on Russia bashing — the same way it always operates against nations on the US target list for regime change.

Disinformation it featured falsely claimed that “elevated radiation levels panicked area residents to search for iodine to protect against absorbing.”

RT explained that briefly increased radiation levels to “three times” what’s normal dropped to the pre-explosion norm in around 30 minutes after the incident — “thus posing little risk for the population,” according to Severodvinsk city authorities, adding:

“We are monitoring (radiation levels) around the clock. Over the last 24 hours, no change was” recorded.

“Soil, air and water samples examined by a team of scientists lead by the federal Consumer Protection agency also found no abnormal radiation readings,” RT reported.

A separate Russian state weather monitoring agency recorded a spike in radiation levels at 4 – 16 times normal, lasting only about 90 minutes before subsiding.

On Tuesday, Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said “I can assure you that, naturally, all relevant government agencies are doing everything possible to guarantee the complete safety of Russian citizens. There should be no doubts about this.”

Truth-telling straight talk isn’t a Times attribute, nor from other Western media — disinformation, Big Lies, and fake news their specialty.

Again, Putinmania sells. The scammers in the MIC who have "misplaced" 21 trillion over the years have for the past 101 years demonized Russia because they know its a safe bet to continue the plunder of the taxpayers. To quote James "Jimmy Gonnorhea" Clapper, Americans are almost genetically predisposed to believe sensationalized nonsense about how evil Russia is. What nobody wants to talk about, while demonizing Russia, is that we blew away more chances at a lasting and mutually beneficial piece than Clinton received blowjobs and Trump got pussy grabs combined. Bush Sr. told Gorby after we unite Germany that NATO would not go east of the German Polish border. Clinton said lets go east. Yeltsin told Clinton, and this comes from known right wing revisionist and film maker Michael Moore, he wanted to get rid of his nuclear weapons if we would as well. Clinton got a blowjob and fired his load in the face of peace. Shrub came in, repealled ABM and moved NATO to within striking distance of Petersburg. Imagine how we would feel if the Russians, Chinese, Venezuelans, Iranians, Syrians, and Yemenis had armored forces 200 miles or less from Chicago and Boston. Trump has repealed START and is amassing strike forces in Poland. The point is that the Russians have no reason to believe we want peace with them because we have showed no evidence of wanting peace with them.

Hillary, the Intel community that gave us Iraq, and the "news" media started pulling shit out of their ass about Russian meddling because they know the Russian boogeyman makes the MIC a shitload of money. These fetid bags of excrement are quick to say its one more in a line of Russian crimes, the annexation of Crimea, their support of Donbass freedom fighters, and Georgia. They never talk about how Russia's activity in the Crimea and Donbass was created by our foreign policy decision to topple a pro Russian democracy so we could steal Ukraine's gas, give the EU cheap -essentially slave - labor and place NATO troops right on a vast area of Russia's frontier. Look up June 22, 1941 if you want to know why this is completely unacceptable to them. They never talk about how the pro US fugitive from corruption charges ordered Georgian troops to shell Russian forces who were in Abkhazia and South Ossetia under UN mandate. They never talk about how we meddled in their election in 1995 and bragged about it in Time Magazine, how we meddled in their election in 2012 and how our state dept workers up to and including our ambassador meet with Navalny and other anti government leaders. Could you imagine if Putin's ambassador met with BLM or Colin Kaepernick?

As for Hillary, well she never discusses three main reasons they were motivated to see that she lost. First, as Sec of Destruction of State and Support of Terrorism, she essentially said she would oppose the establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union between Russia and former Soviet central Asian countries which Putin and his economic specialists had and are hinging their economic future on. Now to be sure, Putin is backed by lots of despots in that region of the world, but Russian actions in central Asia, an area they have far older and more justifiable geopolitical interests than we do should not be our concern. We can also talk about how the Butcher of Benghazi threatened to escalate tensions with Russia in Syria as she wanted to ground Russian planes that were attacking terrorists such as Al Qaeda and ISIS that she was supporting so she could steal Syria's oil. Third, although she had nothing herself to do with Ukraine she did hire criminals such as Vicky Nuland and Samantha Power who orchestrated a Nazi putsch in Ukraine.

Do I support Russian meddling? No. However, any meddling they may have done (I say may have done because Mueller lied us into Iraq so his word cannot be trusted) was created by our own actions. Instead of escalating shit that we started and brought upon ourselves, we need to have serious and frank dialogue with them. A good deal would be that we recognize the vote of the people of Crimea, Ukraine and Georgia can join the EU if they want but we will never place them in NATO without offering Russia full membership as well.

What I oppose and detest even more than our psychotic and poorly thought out sabre rattling and provocations against them, is how Putindiditism has rebirthed McCarthyism in our country. If one, Tulsi Gabbard, calls out Kamala Harris for being a useless wall street whoring war mongering criminal who has a poor civil rights record then she is branded by the corporate state controlled press as "problematic" and a "Russian agent." Also, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and the Washington Compost's propornot McCarthyite list have used Putinmania to crack down on free speech and freedom of press in the name of national security and protecting your freedom. Really, the whole fucking thing is Orwellian. Would someone please inform these assholes that 1984 was written as a warning and not as an instruction manual.

    Sorry for the rant

Awesome post and don't be sorry, they don't want us allied with Russia because the alliance would basically be unstoppable and they want to punish Russia for ridding itself of the Bolshevik scumbags who are trying their same shit here in the US.

If you want to see where the real election tampering is coming from just look at our own homegrown tech companies especially Google which just got majorly busted from a whistleblower who gave Project Veritas a huge document dump that confirmed everything that anyone with half a brain suspected anyway.

    Google Document Dump

San Francisco - A Google insider who anonymously leaked internal documents to Project Veritas made the decision to go public in an on-the-record video interview. The insider, Zachary Vorhies, decided to go public after receiving a letter from Google, and after he says Google allegedly called the police to perform a “wellness check” on him.

Along with the interview, Vorhies asked Project Veritas to publish more of the internal Google documents he had previously leaked. Said Vorhies:

“I gave the documents to Project Veritas, I had been collecting the documents for over a year. And the reason why I collected these documents was because I saw something dark and nefarious going on with the company and I realized that there were going to not only tamper with the elections, but use that tampering with the elections to essentially overthrow the United States.”

Project Veritas has released hundreds of internal Google documents leaked by Vorhies. Among those documents is a file called “news black list site for google now.” The document, according to Vorhies, is a “black list,” which restricts certain websites from appearing on news feeds for an Android Google product. The list includes conservative and progressive websites, such as newsbusters.org and mediamatters.org. The document says that some sites are listed with or because of a “high user block rate.”

Another newly published document titled “Fringe ranking/classifer: Defining channel quality” lists an example ranking of various news sites, including CNN and FOX News. A document titled “Fake news & other fringe: Trashy recap” reveals that videos are rated by multiple “human raters.”

One internal Google document labelled “coffee beans” appears to show Google employees discussing diversity hiring practices. A related internal thread of communications also shows an apparent discussion about the “coffee beans” document, where one Google employee expresses concern that the document appears to “misrepresent Google’s hiring practices in a way that could raise legal questions…”

Another thread of internal Google documents shows Google employees discussing President Donald Trump’s infamous “covfefe” tweet, and a proposed plan to change the Google translation of the term.

    But yeah, Putin and Russia.
