On to Free Agency. What's next?

I'm on the fence whether we let this team sink or swim "as is" (With some obvious new blood from Rochester and removal of some existing members of the team) but leaning towars a drive hard into Free Agency or Trades.

Looking forward, I want either Larsson or Girgensons, but not both. I need Sobotka in a different role or riding the pine. I want Sheary, Thompson, Okposo somewhere in the bottom 6. That leaves a pretty big hole for the second line. Casey +??? Olufsson?

1st: I'd go after Pavelski. 38 goals this year and if that dropped to 20, then it's still better than all but 3 Sabres. Would he come here? I'm not sure. But he'd be a good fit in that room.

Yup, but too many right hand defensemen. Someone will be on the move

As long as this team keeps getting better with each move, Iím for it.

    For LHD, Dahlin, McCabe, Pilut.

Looks like Del Zotto was premature and TSN pulled it off their signings tracker.

Saw Danny O'Regan's signed with the Rangers. The name looked familiar. Buffalo got him as part of the Evander Kane trade. I guess they let him walk.

Based on Bott's interviews leading up to free agency, it sounded like he was going to improve the roster though trades than free agency. We'll see how Vesey does.

There's also the need for some addition by subtraction too.

Eichel/Skinner/Reinhart, Mittelstadt, Okposo, Vesey, Olofsson - There's 7 for your top 6 with Thompson on the bubble

Possible looks: Asplund, Routsalainen, CJ Smith

Then you have a logjam for the bottom 6: Lazar, Zemgus, Larsson, E-Rod, Sheary, Sobotka, Wilson

If they add anyone else they need to do some subtraction

Vesey, now Johansson - these are both solid signings. Lack of scoring depth has been an issue. Also size is better addressed with Johansson
