CNN: United States attacks Russia - places malware in their electrical grid

My name is Ryan, and I am an anonymous Patriots fan. I was owned in a football bet by a resident of a country whose favorite sport is soccer. Here are some nuggets of my football knowledge:• We should have paid more than the Jets for pick #3 in the 2018 draft, since there will be no chance that we can draft Josh Rosen now.• The sky is falling - we lost Mike Gillislee.• Scott Chandler is going to blow up playing with Gronk.• Chris Hogan is going to blow up playing with Brady.• Tyrod Taylor will set the league on fire.

Add that to the sanctions, which are also a form of warfare, and you can see how insidious our occupied government is.

I remember when the US used to be "the good guys"(or at least weren't so obvious about being the bad guys). Russia isn't on board with the new world order, and also is the one white nation the usual suspects haven't been able to use population replacement on, so they must be defeated to have it imposed on them.

I liked it better when the warmongering was lowering gas prices to hurt Putin. At least the average American got something beneficial out of it.

U.S. Escalates Online Attacks on Russia’s Power Grid

WASHINGTON — The United States is stepping up digital incursions into Russia’s electric power grid in a warning to President Vladimir V. Putin and a demonstration of how the Trump administration is using new authorities to deploy cybertools more aggressively, current and former government officials said.

Advocates of the more aggressive strategy said it was long overdue, after years of public warnings from the Department of Homeland Security and the F.B.I. that Russia has inserted malware that could sabotage American power plants, oil and gas pipelines, or water supplies in any future conflict with the United States.

President Trump’s national security adviser, John R. Bolton, said the United States was now taking a broader view of potential digital targets as part of an effort “to say to Russia, or anybody else that’s engaged in cyberoperations against us, ‘You will pay a price.’”

Now the American strategy has shifted more toward offense, officials say, with the placement of potentially crippling malware inside the Russian system at a depth and with an aggressiveness that had never been tried before. It is intended partly as a warning, and partly to be poised to conduct cyberstrikes if a major conflict broke out between Washington and Moscow. “It has gotten far, far more aggressive over the past year,” one senior intelligence official said, speaking on the condition of anonymity but declining to discuss any specific classified programs. “We are doing things at a scale that we never contemplated a few years ago.”
(yeah, after the most spectacularly successful election rigging in modern democracy's history - mh)

He added, referring to nations targeted by American digital operations, “We will impose costs on you until you get the point.”

well its too bad we have to go that far, but after the massive and stunning election manipulation russia pulled off with the cozy bear farm, this kind of big escalation is a necessary response

whatever credit actually goes to the don i will give him, but i strongly suspect this is more congress and the intelligence community than don being the impetus

now we see why he was begging other countries to hack us for his benefit - he doesnt expect russia to bail him out this time

Do you actually believe that propaganda, or are you just repeating what the establishment says to illustrate how nonsensical it sounds? For the love of all that's decent, please tell me it's the latter.

You are familiar with the concepts of false flags and fake news(and the growing list of proven examples), correct?

If Chump is indeed signing off on this, he is either without power(no pun intended), or he has been fully coopted by the usual suspects in the establishment. Either way, it's a sad thing for the world.

The US is commiting crimes/acts of war for real based on something that was made up. Of course students of history know this has been going on for a very long time. (ww1, 2, viet nam, spanish war, iraq 1, 2, etc. Plenty of articles and documentaries on each, if anyone cares to do their own research).

first of all, im not going to debate you on this. weve tried before and it almost never works out. i am a realist and you are more conspiracy oriented. im not interested in going through that yet again

if youre referring to whether i believe russia turned the election in dons favor, absolutely yes. maybe you didnt hear, but the u.s. hacked into the security cameras in the cozy bear operation and literally watched them execute the imagery based, data engineered strategy. btw, you may recall, i was a professional data engineer during my career so i can definitely understand exactly how they did it

of course i cant prove it since i didnt see it, but all you need to do is look at the election results to know it was successful. i suppose its pure coincidence that the don won every critical swing state by razor thin margins. every single one

the troll farm was real. the manipulation was real. and the results were incredibly impressive, albeit illegal and immoral

russia still has the advantage bc they could still try to manipulate our elections in the same way as their laws dont prohibit it as ours do. we meddle in their elections, but not in covert and illegal ways, at least afaik. but if we can plant enough dangerous malware into russias infrastructure, which i believe we can, then that provides a strong disincentive for russia to try to repeat its stunning election rigging success again

How about China and all the money they illegally donated to the Clintons? That's actually real. Where was the outcry?

By definition, YOU are the one pimping conspiracy in this case, not me.

While I am at it, the US has been doing more than alleged "trolling" when elections in other countries to replace the winners of elections they didn't like. Russia and Syria have been tougher challenges than the rest, hence you get things like this.

Again, far from new. The CIA replaced a democratically elected government in Iran many decades ago, and religious government has been in place ever since. This isn't new news, Meat.

I can't believe he's actually still touting this Cozy Bear troll farm shit. The ads they placed were all over the political spectrum and not all biased for President Trump. I could see his point if they were but even then it's a huge stretch to think Facebook ads (a left leaning website) were enough to push an underdog candidate through. The more likely solution was that the polls were lying as they are still now by undercutting his approval ratings and grading the assortment of loser Democrats running for President with having double digit leads.

Do my own research? Oh God no, I'd much rather believe the nonsense the talking heads tell me.
