No it's not. Farrakhan has shit to do with Liberals. The only people who give crap about him are radical black Americans, for the most part

its just amazing that here we are in 2019 and yet AGAIN we have to learn the lesson that restricting free speech results in bad things man, bad things

these fucking social media technologies CREATED the means to segregate ourselves. and now they have the fucking BALLS to think that selectively silencing people is going to be the solution?!?!?!!?

i cant STAND what Louis Farrakhan has become. i cant stand the alt-right, antifa, the KKK, the bad half of BLM, and a host of other groups/individuals i cant think of right now. but i would stand in front of their stage holding a shotgun ready to defend their right to speak, if necessary

how many fucking times do we have to learn this lesson?

the way we are heading lies badness. thats so easy to see its a fucking joke that we have to go through this AGAIN.

i hope you realize we are only a few steps away from having armed conflicts break out with many casualties. we are already seeing individuals doing it on a regular basis, weve got extremist liberals showing up at permitted events with homemade weapons and armor. how much further do you think it is until they start grouping together with REAL weapons on a regular basis?

is that what its going to take for us to wake up? or will we just continue to ban more and more people, inflaming passions, and propelling ourselves to another real civil war?

the first thing I would do is shut down social media. tell them to go back to the drawing board and create technology that allows everybody to speak, doesnt create silos, and doesnt censor anything. at some point in history people will have to develop the ability to co-exist with people they disagree with - and that time is DEFINITELY now

i would also outlaw anonymity on social media. if you want to speak, give us your name. there would also be complimentary tools that DID allow anonymity for things such as whistle-blowing purposes, etc., but these tools would not allow the inclusion/exclusion that creates unidentifiable mobs, like we do today

i would also have public service campaigns that encouraged people to think differently. most people are easily influenced, so have a centralized strategy to exhibit messages of compromise and mutual respect. its worked with other problems, it can work with this one

i would also have a standardized curriculum to start teaching these skills beginning in literally the first grade through graduation. we created health class to teach kids about the penis and vagina, we sure as fuck can create social communications classes to teach them how to speak with people having different viewpoints in a respectful manner

headed in the wrong direction, yall. new thinking is required

There was a time there where Louis Farrakhan look like he had matured into a reasonable and contributory voice. But then something happened, I expect it's probably dementia, where he started to turn around and go back to the crazy violence encouraging destructive force that he was when he was younger

It's super sad that Snoop Dogg has decided to stick up for Farrakhan. That means millions of blacks will follow suit without giving one lick of thought about it

Farrakhan is a dangerous man who encourages violence and murder. All you have to do is look at his own words. We should be working to excise influencers like that from our midst, not prop them the hell up

Sorry Snoop, I'm unfriending you ( I don't use modern social media because I think it's evil so that last part was just a joke)
Not a big fan of the first amendment huh?
You do understand the importance of free speech in a democracy right? even if it's repugnant.
The lessons of failing to heed this clearly reside in the bloody history of humankind

    trully mind boggling

I think David Duke, Minister Farrakhan, and any other asshole should be allowed on social media precisely because of the 1st Amendment. The tech companies are only shooting themselves in the ass by filtering out whoever they don't like which is inherent in tech lords going all the way back to dial-up BBS's. Eventually it causes resentment and the power trips lead to the downfall of the CEOs who think they're above the law having exclusive dominion over their virtual worlds.

If you'd like to get legal, social media sites are specifically protected from the words of the fringe speakers by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act which states:

No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.

So by regulating what is said on their service they are in fact making it known what their stance is on issues and somewhat act as their own publisher of opinions. Clearly illegal things like child porn, scams, and copyright infringements have to be policed but beyond that opinions should be allowed to be expressed no matter how vile. Also, lost in this is that you actively have to subscribe to and/or follow these people yourself as they do not just randomly pop up on your screen and drop a tirade on you.

The most amusing thing about this to me is that you have a celebrity like Snoop Dogg going to bat for Farrakhan but there is no such support from the Hollywood Elite for people like Alex Jones and Paul Joseph Watson who have never called for the extermination of specific races.

Here is a full chronology of Donald Trump’s statements on white supremacist David Duke.

Unlike most other top Republican officials, Trump generally does not couple his statements about Duke with a firm condemnation of Duke’s views. Instead, his answers are often reactive, such as “I would do that [repudiate Duke], if it made you feel better.”

You never replied to my last post about Duke and Farrakhan, so I take it that by saying “what’s wrong with him” you agree with him?
