    Who will be the coach?

It's eerily silent in regards to the Sabres coaching search. Is there a target such as the Amerks or Marlies coach and they are waiting for their playoffs to play out? Are they getting a bunch of "No's"?

I was wondering the same thing. Not a word in days about the coaching search

The rumors are Gronberg from Sweden. At this point, I'm done with the retreads. It might give us a flash in the pan like the Islanders, but I'm ready to watch some exciting, innovative hockey and that's not going to come from the same old, same old crowd.

The search for the Buffalo Sabres' next coach has reportedly led General Manager Jason Botterill to Dave Tippett.

In his weekly "31 Thoughts" column, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman wrote Tuesday that Tippett's recent interview with the Sabres went "very well."

Friedman also confirmed a previous report that Jacques Martin is a candidate in Buffalo, while Swedish National Team coach Rikard Gronborg is also "in the mix" and Toronto Marlies coach Sheldon Keefe impressed Sabres brass with his first-round series win against Rochester.

I had secretly hoped it would have been Gronborg. He’s a progressive coach and could have been a positive disruptive influence in the NHL. I thought our talent also lined up well with his philosophies regards a 5 man press with rolling responsibilities for all players
