In case you don't remember the Bills stole the Pats backup punter last year, so don't be so harsh on them backup punters!

Granted, Whaley still fucked it up by not tendering him correctly, but it's not like he (or Gillislee for that matter) really accomplished anything beyond what they did here.
Hogans stats with the Bills in his 3 years:

    48 games 959yds 6 TD's

Now here are his stats with the Pats for his 3 yrs:

    40 games 1,651 yds 12 TD's

And for the Bonus Round here are his postseason stats with the Pats

    9 games 542 yds 4 TD's and (2) super bowl titles

Hogan was a contributor and accomplished a HELL OF ALOT more with the Pats than he did with the Bills.

Exactly. Brady is worlds better than Taylor as a QB. QB play will affect the production of WR's.

And with a much deeper group of pass catchers on the field like Edelman, Amendola, Gronk, Cooks, Gordon etc and he still contributed.

That 2016 AFCCG against the Steelers when he had 9 catches for 180 yds (think that is a record) and 2 TDs and then in the SB against the Eagles 6 catches for 128 yds and a TD. Those were pretty good games!

If by accomplished more you mean winning super bowls than yes, but he was a role player that contributed to the team not an elite player that had to be game planned to be stopped like Edelman.

The level of QB affects the WR ability to produce. WR's had better stats playing with Payton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady than they did playing with EJ Manuel, Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Maybe since he’s playing for the Panthers this season, Beane will want to sign him next offseason.

Those were great games really considering the stage.
We can't compare Hogans Bills stats to composite Pats stats though.

Too many variables. Hogan only used much by Bills in his last year here. With Pats he has all those playoff games.

Our biased argument wants to compare Hogans last year stats w Bills vs Pats regular season stats. Those are very similar.

Of course he accomplished more with more games opportunity and super bowls. He played big on the biggest stage more than once. Happy for him.

he had exactly the same stats as when he left here

winning a sb was dumb luck. he was along for the ride

nothing wrong with that but he was basically the same solid but unspectacular guy that in on your rosters fringe

the cheaters just have extra money to throw at guys they think can contribute, and he can. mike gillislee did, and then he didnt. they benched then cut him

but they have that extra money to take chances cuz marcia took much less salary to get good fa's and solid role players and backups. it makes a huge difference and is another of their advantages, as if they needed more
