Report: Colin Kaepernick Interested In Dolphins Job
Posted by Charean Williams on March 15, 2019, 5:53 PM EDT

The Dolphins’ trade of Ryan Tannehill and their miss on Teddy Bridgewater leaves only Luke Falk and Jake Rudock at quarterback. Falk and Rudock have combined for five regular-season attempts, so Miami obviously is in the quarterback market.

Bridge quarterbacks still are available in free agency, including Brock Osweiler, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Blake Bortles, with the Dolphins expected to draft their franchise quarterback either this spring or in 2020.

Colin Kaepernick also remains free, and now that he’s settled his collusion case, he hopes to get another NFL opportunity.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that Kaepernick is interested in the Dolphins job.

“Yes, he’s training hard and ready to play,” a source close to the quarterback told La Canfora.

OP: No word if the interest is mutual

Fuck that guy. If he gets hired he should be required to rescind the settlement because he then clearly WAS NOT colluded against.

It was a settlement it wasn't a court ruling. Unless the settlement states that he has to forego any and all efforts to return to the NFL he's well within his grounds to continue to seek employment on a team.

If Kareem Hunt can play in the NFL than Colin Kapernick can play in the NFL.

To the best of my knowledge there is a non disclosure agreement so he obviously can't talk aoubt it or how much he was paid, but if a team wants to hire him he can play.

LaConfora has made a living out of throwing shit against the wall to see if it sticks. I doubt he ever talked to Kap, and is just trying to get clicks. It's kind of common knowledge that Kap wants or wanted to play again.

If he wants to play, why doesn't he say so?

I don't think he wants to play this year; and I don't think he wanted to play in 2017 or 2018. Don't think he wants to play in 2020 either. Martyrdom is lost if he comes back.
