But being in position to strike for them would be nice.
Agreed. But we know Beane likes to work trades so that space can certainly be used in other ways.

This means the Bills will likely have close to $100MM in cap space next offseason.

For all of you looking for a "splash" signing, my guess is next year that will be on the agenda more so than it was this year.

They filled glaring holes with solid players this year, and next year they can put the finishing touches on the roster with some high priced studs. Those are the guys who can put the team over the top. Its not wise to splurge on such players in a year like this year when there are so many holes. Plug those holes early with some reliable role players, and then go for the gold.

This is how a rebuild is done folks. Doug Whaley knows nothing about this.

$86,752,502. Does that take into the effect the 2nd year of all the contracts we just signed? Some of those contracts have a decent slug of Cap in year 2.....

As far as signing Top Dog FAs next year it will depend on our record and trajectory this year. If we finished 9-7 or better, and make the playoffs, you can sell off of that.

I could see a trade happening before the draft and even during the draft.

Getting DT Gerald McCoy and WR AJ Green, for the right compensation would give enough talent for Buffalo to compete for the playoffs.

Beane seems to be an aggressive GM, which I like.

I'm sure he'll be working the phones hard at the draft.
