DUFFER: A very early look at the Sabres' organizational depth chart

Here is the projected depth chard after today's signings.

    https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/bria...-1/c-290266574

    Buffalo

Evander Kane - Jack Eichel - Sam Reinhart
Benoit Pouliot - Ryan O'Reilly - Kyle Okposo
Matt Moulson - Johan Larsson - Jason Pominville
Nicolas Deslauriers / Evan Rodrigues - Zemgus Girgensons / Jacob Josefson - Hudson Fasching

    Marco Scandella - Rasmus Ristolainen
    Jake McCabe - Zach Bogosian
    Nathan Beaulieu - Victor Antipin
    Josh Gorges

    Robin Lehner
    Chad Johnson

With the departures of Tyler Ennis, Marcus Foligno, and William Carrier - and barring any more changes - the left wing will undoubtedly be the most scrutinized position when camp begins in the fall.

    Rochester

Alexander Nylander - Seth Griffith - Nicholas Baptiste
C.J. Smith - Kevin Porter - Justin Bailey
Vaclav Karabacek - Sean Malone - Eric Cornel
Alex Kile - Kyle Criscuolo - Justin Danforth

    Justin Falk - Taylor Fedun
    Brendan Guhle - Matt Tennyson
    Brycen Martin - Casey Nelson
    Devante Stephens - Anthony Florentino

    Linus Ullmark
    Adam Wilcox
    Jonas Johansson
    Jason Kasdorf

I would think Nylander would make the jump to the NHL sometime this year. 1st round draft pick, 4th overall usually should be NHL ready by their second year. I think he will be groomed to play with Eichel and Rhineheart. But they might keep Kane their to protect their star.

Not a bad looking lineup. We have had worse! Whether it's a playoff team is to be seen, but I feel we will have more wins than losses, 37-34-11 for 85 points. We need to get off to a better start
and then finish strong. Playoff? We'll see.

    10-6 in 2016 PLAYOFF BOUND ?

Never, ever take lesser talent over better talent because of need.
Just say "NO!" to projects in the first round

To me it all comes down to the Defense. The Sabres were horrible in SOG Against last year and had no flow leaving the defensive zone. Get the SOG Against into the middle of the pack this year and it'll shave an avg .5 GPG off and that alone will translate into a chunk of wins.

If Housley is successful in taking this D to the next level and implementing his uptempo transition game, this team has the horses up front to get the job done.

What are you talking about? 5/6 of the top two lines look ok. Otherwise the roster looks like a joke.

Sabres fans are brainwashed by Pegula's three years of crappy hockey into thinking this is a good looking roster. ROFLMAO.
