Each time i ran the simulator, Dalton Risner was gone before the 40th pick.

Now, if the Bills could trade down in the first, with that extra draft capital they could always move up in the 2nd,

PS with the signing of Frank Gore, and the commitment to Shady, RB is probably out as an option until the 5th round or later.

I notice you have plenty of O-lineman to pick from. I would go with highest rated one, preferable one that can play more then one spot. I wouldn't be against Irv Smith, either. If you could grab a stud on the Dl day one, then a starter on the OL and at TE day two. It couldn't work out any better.

Sounds like that is where we are headed. Defensive Player, probably DL in the 1st round.
Then offensive line in the 2nd round. Maybe Irv Smith...although he is not as big as some of the TEs in the draft.

We need the best available TE no later than our second round pick.

I’d even be happy with the top TE at 9.

Realistically Buffalo should be able to get TE Irv Smith Jr in the 2nd round. He would be a great fit because Brian Daboll knows him from when he coached Alabama and Smith understands Dabols offense.

If Beane goes for a 3 tech DT in the 1st round, look for someone like Irv Smith Jr in the 2nd round.

If Beane goes for a TE in the 1st round I believe it will be TJ Hockenson since I have him rated higher than Noah Fant.

Hockenson and Fant are two different types of TEs. And Irv Smith is different, being only about 6’2.5”

You need to go with the one that fits your QB and offense.

And don’t ignore Josh Oliver, K Warring, Jace Sternberger And Zach Gentry from Mixhigan.

DT and TE in the first 2 rounds seems to make a lot of sense to me.

*It doesn't matter who the Bills drafted in the 1st round, you are going BPA (okay the Bills selected Edge Montez Sweat)

    • Irv Smith, TE
    • Marquise Brown, WR (if the Bills add this speedster, the 2019 Bills will have the Blazing Bunch at WR)
    • Deebo Samuel, WR
    • Parris Campbell, WR
    • Riley Ridley, WR
    • JJ Arcega-Whiteside, WR
    • Chris Lindstrom, OG
    • Greg Little, OT
    • Kaleb McGray, OT
    • Yodny Cajustea, OT
    • Elgton Jenkins, IOL
    • Dexter Lawrence, DT

Two observations: a) Lot of good WRs should be available b) Not a lot of DTs left. If the Bills sign an Edge guy in FA, I could see them going DT in the 1st.
Some mocks have the Pats taking Irv Smith at #32...

Guess they assume the Patriots will draft a TE, no matter what.

Irv Smith is not that tall compared to Gronk, we will see.

But Buffalo badly needs a 3 tech DT, so if Jerry Tillery or Daniel Wise are available it would be hard to pass them up since, 3 tech DT is a bigger need than TE.

I would then go TE in the 3rd round or 4th rounds with Jace Sternberger or Josh Oliver or Caleb Wilson
We can wait on a dt it's a good year for them. Get that guard. We're still weak there.
