He averaged 16 FTAs per game. He averaged 13 PPG from the line
So, you dont think that was based on noteriety/popularity at all? During the 04-05 season, I'd agree with you. Hell, I think Shaq deserved the MVP that year over Nash. That was Shaq's team. But in the playoffs of 04-05 is when that transition happened. By the 05-06 season... that was Wade's team w/o question. Even Shaq was saying so...

I agree it was transitioning over to wade and wade's play in the Finals is why they won but it was still considered Shaq's team. Wade is a great player w/o a doubt- I just think top 10-15 is a bit too high.

So... what exactly does that mean? That Shaq was the vocal leader? Why is that more important than who the better player was? LeBron wasnt even captain this year, and Haslem was. Does that mean that this year's Heat was more Haslem's team than LeBrons?

Hey, I think top 10-15 is too high right now. But hes got that spot in his sights and he's quickly approaching it IMO.

To each his own. Its all speculation at this point...

Shaq was still a top player in the league, commanding most of the attention of opponents, freeing things up for Wade. haslem has never been anything more than a role player, that is a poor comparison.

Wade is not getting better at this point, he atcually appears to be regressing so he has his work cut for him to be a top 10-15 player all time.

    Back on topic...

    I'll add my 2 cents.

There's no way this squad could hang with the Dream Team in the paint.

Barkley, Robinson, Ewing and Malone would have a field day with anyone this squad has on the court.

Even with Larry Bird not being his old self, he averaged 20 and 10 in the 1991-92 NBA season (while still shooting 41% from behind the arc).

Brazil's size gave this team some fits.

Could you imagine what the likes of David Robinson, Charles Barkley, Karl Malone and Patrick Ewing would do?

Im sorry it wouldn't even be close

What hasn't been said yet is the 92 team was from a mental standpoint it was full of straight killers. It was full of players who absolutely refuse to lose and were always relentless night in and night out. Guys like Jordan, Magic, ect would not allow them to lose.

The 92 team did not have a weakness. They could beat you inside and out on both sides of the court
