I highly doubt that's the case. Correct me if I am wrong I obviously do not know your cell phone plan but you have the unlimited data I believe and that costs you 30 a month. Yes they want everyone to go to a 4G phone (why people would want 3G still is beyond me but I digress) and that would get rid of your unlimited data and would put you on 2GB a month for the same 30 bucks if you are not on shared everything. Unless you are a constant data hog and use 2+ GB a month I see no benefit for Verizon to somehow throttle your plan.

In all seriousness it comes down to this. iOS is great if you do a lot of picture taking because the camera is excellent and it has a lot of good photo editing stuff built in however a couple of the newer Android phones are rocking shutters that are instantaneous picture taking which is cool. iOS is also good if you want a simple, user friendly, can only do what we tell you to do device. iOS is simplistic, the look and feel are very easy to pick up and learn. So if you don't want to have to search for stuff (except in the setting app) that's the device for you.

Android is better if the screen on the iPhone is just too small. Obviously the name of the game with Android is choice, screen sizes manufacturers, etc. However (and I don't think you would fall into this trap) do not go to a Verizon/ATT/Radioshack/Best Buy and only get "the free phone" and expect it to compete against your buddy's iPhone.. cause it won't plain and simple. Spend some decent coin on an Android phone and you will not be disappointed. Also if you like to customize stuff and make it unique you want Android. With all the widgets, launchers, themes, the ability to root, etc. you can really make your Android unique. With the iPhone, sure you can change the background, sounds stuff like that but you still have the same 4x4 app grid layout (maybe the app dock is different but that's nothing) as everyone else and the phone will look generally about the same.

Probably missed some stuff but that should give you a basis to make a halfway informed decision

You really hit the nail on the head with that statement and that's why I love the Android.

I only really do a handful of things on my phone. Contact my wife and friends, check some scores, email, etc. I love having an icon on my home screen for my wife so that I can call or text her in about 2 clicks. Then I have a folder of my good friends on the home screen so I can call or text them with about 3 clicks.

I also like having an easy shortcut for navigation to my house. I drive around DC for work and don't always know the best way to get home. I just click the icon on one of the home screens and it jumps right in to turn by turn directions. Having the google search bar on the home screen is nice, one less step when searching for something online.

Really the iPhone can do pretty much everything the Android can and vice-versa. I just think that the Android OS makes it easier to do those tasks with less effort.
