Battleship

Caught this flick the other night and I found myself pleasantly surprised by it. One of the better movies I have seen in recent memory. I don't know if I enjoyed it so much due to the piss poor previews/trailers lowering my overall expectations going in or if it was just that good.

Either way, it had everything you wanted and I found myself really gripped in the movie especially with the alien scenes. Pretty awesome how humanoid they were instead of just your normal green guy.

I'm not too eager to watch it I gotta say. A friend who's seen it told me there 3 good things about the movie

1) Brooklyn Decker
2) AC/DC
3) It actually ends

I liked it much more than I thought also. If you are going to see it because of Liem Neeson.. don't bother. He does not have as big of a role as the commercials make it seem but the movie overall was awesome. Had they named it anything else but Battleship the movie would have been perfect. There was only one real scene that made me think back to the board game.

I haven't seen the movie, but I have a bet going that before the end of the film, Liam Neeson stares down the alien leader and growls "You sunk my battleship" before kicking its ass. Am I right?

Yeah I caught that same vibe.

I think the Transformer movies are terrible. They're the only action movies I've ever seen that put me to sleep.
