Damnit, it's a 1:05 game. I have to work until 2. Go figure.
Wheeler is here and starts sunday afternoon but from my understanding the New York Mets were looking a few weeks ago to call up Wheeler but he didn't have a great outing or two in double a so they waited. Wheeler is a top prospect but it isn't like he is dominating double a so we will see how he does in Buffalo but I am not expecting domination. Triple a hitters that know how to work counts totally different from double a hitters in my opinion.
If Wheeler makes the mistakes alot of young prospects do in triple a thinking there going to blow fast balls by hitters then he will stuggle in my opinion like Mejia and Familia do. Harvey the difference was he was smart most of the time and knew what he was doing meaning he knew how to pitch to experience hitters and didn't make alot of the classic mistakes prospects make coming up to the IL. It is a bigger jump then some MLB fans would think in my opinion. Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
And the question I have is why are you going after a Buffalo Bisons fan on a Buffalo Bisons thread if you don't even follow baseball anymore and you talk about me? As for Buffalo disloyal in your case in my opinion why are you even commenting on a team the Buffalo Bisons that you don't follow or care about? As for the Buffalo Bills fine your a Buffalo fan of major league teams which again is fine but why are you on a Buffalo Bisons thread with no interest? Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Atleast get right my opinion from my post before commenting on it. I said disloyal to Buffalo sports teams. I don't count Batavia it maybe part of WNY but not part of Buffalo sports teams in my opinion. Again it is my opinion I am entittled to my own opinion just like you are.
Loyality to all Buffalo sports teams or your not and again it is just my opinion. I consider teams in Erie County part of Buffalo. So St. Bonaventure is Olean so I don't count it. Niagara is Niagara County so I don't count it fans get the idea. Just so Buffalo fans don't misunderstand my post. So for Buffalo Super Fan there are the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bisons, Buffalo Bandits, Buffalo Bulls and Canisius Golden Griffins the rest are not part of Buffalo sports in my opinion if the sports team plays outside of Erie County that is another county or areas team in my opinion.Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
No that isn't right what I am saying you can live in Omaha and can still be a total Buffalo sports teams fan all in. Your missing the point of my post. If you lived let's say in Omaha or anywhere but still follow all Buffalo sports teams with internet so you watch the Buffalo Bisons, Buffalo Bulls and Buffalo Bandits etc instead of taking the easy way watching the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres the rest aren't major league enough for me because I am a major league only snob Buffalo fan that also watches New York Yankees and Duke Basketball and Michigan Football because what I have in Buffalo aka Buffalo Bisons or Buffalo Bulls isn't good enough to support with there attendance or to watch because I am a Buffalo major league snob that is who my post are directed at. So it isn't so much the area I hope you understand what I am saying.
My point Billfan69 is challenging these guys that say UB sucks or the Buffalo Bisons suck etc. You want things to change in Buffalo support the team either by going to games, buying merchandise or watching online or on tv for ratings which equals revenue at the end of the day. Watching the New York Yankees only helps New York City and MLB with revenue it has very little affect at improving Buffalo from a money revenue stand point. Buffalo gets a little money stores do with selling New York Yankees merchandise I will give a fan that. But very little, get the bigger picture and see what Buffalo Super Fan is saying.
That same New York Yankees fan, or New York Mets fan or Brooklyn Nets fan in Buffalo all happy watching also calling themselves a Buffalo Bills fan. Let me ask those fans which three out of four teams got new stadiums and arena and who didn't? The answer Buffalo Bills. Still like the New York Yankees if your a Buffalonian even through we might lose our Buffalo Bills team without New York State's help. Buffalo fans need to wake up in my opinion I am not the bad guy just trying to get Buffalo fans to think. What is best for Buffalo is supporting Buffalo only teams keeping the tv eyes and revenue in Buffalo not helping grow New York city sports bigger or someday some Buffalo fans might get what they want an eight hour away bedroom community to New York City sports team follow the money and wake up Buffalo.
Lastly I am not so sure New York Yankees fan in Buffalo is going to get all excited about the Toronto Blue Jays as the Buffalo Bisons PDC either who are right in there AL East division we will see what happens. I think the point I am making above has alot of merit to it. Your either all Buffalo sports teams fan loyal to all Buffalo sports teams or your not. It isn't maybe kind of it is you are or your not. By some of the responses I think there is alot of truth in what I am saying and that is part of the Buffalo Bisons problem when it comes to attendance in the past few years in my opinion. Too many stay home today watching the New York Yankees on YES aka what happened to the Rochester Amerks AHL attendance with Rochester fans staying home to watch the Buffalo Sabres games on MSG as a example giving the New York Yankees all the ratings money and revenue from Buffalo baseball fans in the area and I will admit there are less Buffalo fans like myself today in the Buffalo area anymore that are hardcore Buffalo Bisons IL only fans every night either watching on tv, online or going to games live home and away the Buffalo Bisons that is part of the problem in my opinion. Calling me whatever doesn't bother me and it doesn't change what is happening today with Buffalo Bisons baseball attendance calling me a nut, weird or whatever in my opinion.
And this all started by three so called Buffalo fans poking fun at a hardcore Buffalo Bisons fan me and also poking fun at Let's Go Buffalo how weak is that and they call themselves Buffalonians? Buffalo Bisons fans shouldn't be made to feel like second class baseball fans in there own city. Really think about that. What three of these New York Yankees fans were trying to do and failing badly at. As a Buffalo Bisons fan I didn't go over to there New York Yankees thread and call them weird or a nut or strange did I. This is a Buffalo Bisons thread I started for hardcore Buffalo Bisons fans not lukewarm maybe Buffalo Bisons fan that pokes fun at the Buffalo Bisons team and there fans like me and follows the New York Yankees there true team they support and root for in my opinion. Which is fine but then stay over there then if you don't like what a Buffalo Bisons fan said that a New York Yankees fan started that is all I am saying.
Which is fine there entittled to do whatever and follow whatever team they want nothing is stopping them but what I am saying isn't wrong so there is no need for Buffalo fans to feel defensive about it inless there is some guilt on there part because what I am saying is the truth with alot of Buffalo baseball fans today in my opinion. All I know is I sleep at night knowing I did whatever I could finacially afford and as a Buffalo fan following by watching on tv and online for ratings for revenue for our local Buffalo teams to help Buffalo sports teams stay in Buffalo all of our team not just the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres but the Buffalo Bisons, Buffalo Bandits, Buffalo Bulls etc. The rest is up to Buffalo but don't start crying someday to anyone that will listen all you have are New York City teams if the day comes when Buffalo sports teams are potentially gone moved away because many Buffalo fans were to busy watching the New York Yankees in front of there tv set watching YES that is all I am saying. That helps Buffalo sports teams how in the future? How does that help make a better Buffalo community tommorrow?
And Buffalo fans thinking BSF is full of hot air. Look what is happening today to Hartford a decade after the Hartford Whalers NHL left Hartford. It is so bad Hartford could lose there Connecticut Whale AHL team when there lease is up after 2013 because the Hartford fan base is split in two groups and attendance is very low today. One group those old Hartford Whalers NHL fans loyal to Hartford hockey but can't stand anything with the New York Rangers or MSG name on it. And then the group that loves all New York Rangers, MSG and the old Hartford Wolf Pack, the Connecticut Whales old name that was changed. So keep supporting New York Yankees and New York city teams see where that gets Buffalo in the future? Not very far if you ask me there is a lesson to be learn from Hartford, Connecticut where New York teams are trying to take over there to in my opinion for expanded tv money and revenue. And the lesson to be learned in my opinion support Buffalo teams only if your a Buffalonian and want our Buffalo teams we presently have to stay because outside teams do very little for the benefit of the Buffalo community in my opinion. Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
I already told you why in the post you quoted. I guess reading comprehension along with writing coherent sentences is something you missed in grade school.
"Going after you?" Maybe it's because you sound like a retard and you have the temerity to call yourself "Buffalo Super Fan". It seems to me that writing half page posts with rambling non sequiturs is a desperate cry for attention....in my opinion.
...
I've said this before, and I'll say this again: You will NOT see the Yankees affiliate with the Bisons for a long time, if EVER. See, the Yanks have a policy with their minor league teams-no events other than baseball at our stadiums. What would that mean for Buffalo? Well...
*Say goodbye to the multi-act concerts that WYRK and WKSE(Kiss 98.5)do every year.
*The National Buffalo Wing Festival? That's gone, too. (Here's something you may not know: Rochester has, for years, worked with the Bisons in scheduling to ensure that we always have July 3rd available for the Independence Eve celebration, as well as for the WingFest.)
*Buffalo Brew Fest gets poured down the drain.
*Stuff like Rock the Lakes(which is occurring in late September)will not happen, either.

Where did I say or anyone say the New York Yankees PDC is coming to Buffalo? All I was saying to the Buffalo fan that thought that the Toronto Blue Jays PDC might draw more New York Yankees fans to Buffalo Bisons games because there not the New York Mets PDC is what I was questioning? Because the Toronto Blue Jays are still in the AL East so there a New York Yankees rival too so I don't get how that would affect Buffalo Bisons attendance going up just because there not the Subway rival New York Mets? I think that is a real stretch but it is the poster's opinion and there entitled to it. Either the New York Mets or Toronto Blue Jays or any MLB PDC will draw in Buffalo if they win like with any other sports team in Buffalo in my opinion. Winning solves many of the Buffalo Bisons problems in my opinion but not all of them but many.
But if the Toronto Blue Jays PDC doesn't win in the next two seasons were at this same position in two seasons again most likely and if that happens the Buffalo Bisons will be in the same position there in now in my opinion but who knows. It is all up to the product the Toronto Blue Jays put on the field in Buffalo in the next two seasons in my opinion. I will say this again I think the only thing that gets a New York Yankees fans to more Buffalo Bisons games win or lose is a New York Yankees PDC which isn't going to likely happen for along time in my opinion so I agree with you. Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Contray to what you think of me I don't really care because I have no problem with you because that is just the way you are as a poster and I accept you as you are as a poster. If more posters could just accept one for who they are on this board it would be a better place in my opinion. Something all of us posters should think about. That also goes for pmoon6 and Epicness I don't any problem with any of you guys because I don't take post personally including your post. Your not going to change me as a poster so I don't know why you try? You guys know my posting style for years it hasn't changed and won't in my opinion so why bother posting about it?
Wagoncircler we do finally agree on something. I think that is do able and could happen because Canalside would be cheaper I would think for a concert promoter then renting Coke Cola Field in my opinion down the road in the future. Also with the New York Yankees who knows how that will work out in Scranton with the New York Yankees as owner because I have read Scranton the city is bankrupt from my understanding so people in that area might not be thinking about going to Scranton-WB Yankees baseball games if there out of a job we will see.
Plus something else to keep in mind Buffalo Bisons fans Bob Rich isn't a spring chicken anymore how do we know someday the New York Yankees don't buy the Buffalo Bisons from the Rich Family and sell the Scranton-WB team to someone like the New York Mets down the road. One never knows what the future holds. I am surprised no one in Buffalo really talks or thinks about that the day might come when the Rich Family sells the Buffalo Bisons and gets out of the baseball business in my opinion with the changing landscape of minor league baseball and also Bob Rich's age to factor in. I guess because it is minor league baseball and many don't care I get that.
That also could happen with Rogers and the Toronto Blue Jays buying the Buffalo Bisons someday also in my opinion that possiblity is out there too as a possibility. But no one talks about that as even a possiblity. In my opinion when owners see profits going down sometimes they sell if there is a offer that is just too good to pass up and in the Buffalo Bisons case there down 1,600 a game or so just in the past two seasons so who knows? Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
The reason attendance is down in Buffalo is because the Mets have put a shitty product on the field since day 1. There haven't been any exciting prospects in the system until this year. Sorry, I'd rather see 20 year olds with all star potential than guys like Mike Hessman and Pascucci.
To answer one of BSF's long-winded posts: Because Scranton/Wilkes-Barre is operated by Mandalay Sports Entertainment. Also, Rogers Communications is a CANADIAN company. Good luck getting that sale to clear hurdles in the states.

I agree completely. There needs to be a mix though, the Mets system has been lacking it for some time.
The Mets have 8 players on the Triple-A roster that are on the 40-Man Roster and 4/8 players were recently demoted to Triple-A due to performance issues. Duda, Beato, Kirk, and Nickeas.
The other 4 guys aren't being brought up any time soon. The team lacks any real exciting talent. Although, yes, Familia and Mejia can be electric and will have MLB careers. They are the exception.
Valentino Pascucci (sorry to pick on him but..) is one of those "fillers." He's batting .220 with 14 dingers. Sorry, I'd rather watch Wilmer Flores, an allstar capable corner infield prospect play for the Bisons and hit those numbers.
Epic: I can tell you without a doubt Familia needed more seasoning before coming up here. For a guy who's 7-7, he has an ERA in the 5's, walks nearly as many as he strikes out, has a WHIP in the 1.6 range, etc. Mejia, I think, can work well as a set-up pitcher.

But why couldn't Rogers Communications buy the Buffalo Bisons with alot MLB teams buying there triple a teams today? Because again like I said the Riches next season have owned the Buffalo Bisons for 30 years there not spring chicken's anymore live in Florida fulltime for years now and attendance is way down?
Mandalay Sports Entertainment owns Scranton-WB but will they own them in four years if attendance in Scranton remain flat and in last place in the IL like last season? The city of Scranton is very turned off with the New York Yankees even though they put alot winning teams on the field in my opinion. Also Scranton is Philadelphia Phillies territory for years thoses fans aren't suddenly becoming New York Yankees fans new stadium or not. Fans in that town were turned off and wanted the New York Yankees and the triple a team gone because of cost to the taxpayer it wasn't where everyone just said yippee we got the New York Yankees like it would be in Buffalo's case in my opinion.
Also like I said the city of Scranton has big finacial problem bigger then Buffalo if one can imagine, does that sound like that is going to be a homerun for the New York Yankees and Mandalay Sports Entertainment? I think it is something to keep an eye on down the road if the Toronto Blue Jays fail here. Also that stadium events things wouldn't be a problem one with Canalside like Wagon said and also if the Riches aren't the owners anymore of the Buffalo Bisons which I do see happening at some point because they sound now like there complaining and things aren't that bad yet.
I think if Toronto Blue Jays don't win in Buffalo attendance could get worse because season ticket sales are down that in my opinion is also a problem for the Buffalo Bisons. The Buffalo Bisons lost alot of older Buffalo Bisons fans for years that were season ticketholders or went to many games in the past five or six years and they were never replaced by new Buffalo Bisons season ticketholders in my opinion. Baseball has alot of games and young people have alot to do compared to my day where you followed baseball in the summer months as the National Past Time, now some call it the Past Time for baseball which is unfortunate but reality. Young people aren't into baseball as much as my generation in my opinion.
For the Buffalo Bisons they need to figure out how to get young fans that go with there parents to stay passionate about the Buffalo Bisons when there adults like the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres have and they become Buffalo Bisons season ticketholders in my opinion. Yes basically the Buffalo Bisons need more of me that go to many games but that isn't an easy thing to figure out today in my opinion. Because I admit more are like yours and everyone elses thoughts and views on this Buffalo Bisons thread. I am not getting into that debate again just stating the way it is today.
In the 1940's and 1950's you would get 40,000 to greet the IL Governors' Cup Champion Buffalo Bisons at the train or bus station. In 1960's with the move to War Memorial for the Buffalo Bisons and AFL Pro Football coming to Buffalo the Bills and miss with the Continental League never getting off the ground the Buffalo Bisons really haven't been the same with getting passionate Buffalo Bisons fans after that. We lost the Buffalo Bisons in 1970. Yes I get the Buffalo Bisons drew 6 years of over a million but that was MLB possibley coming to Buffalo, new stadium and also alot of those old Buffalo Bisons IL fans that remembered the 1940's and 1950's Buffalo Bisons IL when rivalries against the Rochester Red Wings and Syracuse Chiefs, Montreal Royals and Toronto Maple Leafs ment something to them and they carried that tradition on like I have tried to do.
But it is going away and this is what you get today luke warm Buffalo Bisons fans with so so passion about the team winning or losing or even caring if they even play in Buffalo today in my opinion. I am not blaming anyone here and please don't take it as that but just explaining what I think is happening with the Buffalo Bisons and attendance there is no one simple answer in my opinion. Even when Buffalo won it's last Governors' Cup I think the attendance was like 13,000 plus not a full house for Buffalo winning the whole IL so it isn't just the New York Mets, or Toronto Blue Jays or New York Yankees. It is many in Buffalo in my opinion just a I don't care attitude about the Buffalo Bisons when is Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres season starting?
Those old Buffalo Bisons fans that cared haven't been replaced and your not replacing them with having 5 different kinds of Wings to eat in my opinion. I am 44 years old when my generation is to old to attend Buffalo Bisons games anymore like those who have passed or are not healthy enough to attend anymore because of age inless something is done soon in my opinion to replace them the Buffalo Bisons attendance could get worse and this will be considered the good old days of Buffalo Bisons baseball attendance wise?
My generation in my opinion has that last of the hardcore Buffalo Bisons fans losing sucks to the Rochester Red Wings and Syracuse Chiefs, I am embarrassed left after my generation, I think it will get worse for the Buffalo Bisons attendance wise inless something is done now. Maybe a merry go round or rides at the ballpark like Lousiville Bats or Gwinnett Braves I think does stuff like that will help or who know what interest Buffalo fans today and I really don't want to know because I am sure I will think it is weird/strange in my opinion to have merry go rounds and rides at a ballpark. Not caring anymore about winning or losing against the Rochester Red Wings or the Syracuse Chiefs Thruway Cup rivals like we split a doubleheader tonight in Syracuse isn't a good thing but what do I know I am just a weird/strange Buffalo Bisons fan according to many here which is fine. Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Epic I agree with him about Familia. The New York Mets problems aren't Buffalo there the Wilpons family doing in my opinion. New York Mets fans shouldn't be so focused on Buffalo or whatever triple a team they get next season for all the answers. The answered passed the New York Mets by last offseason not even trying to go after players like a Albert Pujols and trading Ike Davis for bullpen help. The New York Mets play in New York City with there own SNY and Wilpons in my opinion have not enough money to run the New York Mets like they should be run in such a large city like New York.
Buffalo isn't the answer for the New York Mets problems. Every pitching prospect isn't going to be all home grown Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan's. You need free agents in New York in MLB free agency. And in Buffalo case with the New York Mets they signed triple a free agents but the New York Mets cheap tricks are there gone by June after two months. Either released, sold, called up and released so they can sign in Japan Bobby Scales comes to mind and it is all over for the Buffalo Bisons when that stuff happens yearly since the Buffalo Bisons have been with the New York Mets in my opinion. That is the pattern with the New York Mets triple a free agents.
With the prospects there made the next savior for the New York Mets mostly by desperate New York Mets fans oh Matt Harvey is the next_________ before he is ready for that distinction in my opinion. There are no answers in Buffalo. Wilmer Flores isn't hitting those numbers in the IL no way in my opinion. The pitching is too good in the IL. He would hit like Nick Evans .077 and the New York Mets would ruin him and his confidence in my opinion by rushing a player not ready.
Also last sorry I don't agree about Valentino Pascucci a Buffalo Bisons fan favorite that hits for power and is fun to watch as a Buffalo Bisons fan. If it was me I would have added a Mike Hessman at third base in the batting order I would rather watch that as a Buffalo Bisons fan then some snotty prospect that hits like Nick Evans that thinks he is better then he actually is because the New York Mets or who ever_______ the MLB team potentially happening because all the MLB and MLB fans do is say how great said prospect _______ is in my opinion before doing anything in the EL or IL. I take Valentino Pascucci and Mike Hessman in the same lineup anyday over Single A or Double A Wilmer Flores at this point. Buffalo people pay there hard earned money for Buffalo Bisons games this isn't instructional baseball like in St. Lucie. Too many New York Mets fans never got that in my opinion and that is one of the many reasons why the Buffalo Bisons are going with Toronto Blue Jays next season and the New York Mets are most likely going to Las Vegas or Rochester. The Internation League isn't Instructional League baseball? Wilmer Flores no way that guy is ready for triple a day in and day out over a Valentino Pascucci sorry. At worst he is Nick Evans .077 and at best Fernando Martinez who wasn't anything special to write home about never a triple a all star player still even in the PCL and all New York Mets fans did was rave about how great Fernando Martinez was going to be.
I am still waiting give me triple a all stars like Valentino Pascucci and Mike Hessman anyday show some respect for International League and PCL all stars in my opinion this isn't a instructional league where Buffalo has to wait for maybe something and most likely never will be that the New York Mets organization is over selling to some simple minded New York Mets fans (I am not talking about you Epic just letting you know that, I am speaking in general it could be anyone) so they buy New York Mets tickets yearly because that is all the Wilpon's sell is hope today in my opinion and New York Mets fan buys it yearly because there New York Mets fans. But speaking as a Buffalo Bisons fan I don't care about maybe and potential give me the IL veteran all star that has been in battle and is mature enough to not sulk when something doesn't go there way like a call up or they can't stand Buffalo because it is too cold in April and May or whatever. I know Pascucci and Hessman can hit for power in the IL that is a given and they appreciate having a IL job yearly and they go to work to win without complaining so I will take that as a Buffalo Bisons fan anyday over a prospect that is maybe and likes to complain why not me and how Buffalo sucks in some cases Jenrry Mejia comes to mind last season wanting to stay in Binghamton instead of Buffalo. Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
The New York Mets could have gotten that back end reliever trading Ike Davis and signing free agent Albert Pujols in the last offseason in my opinion if the Wilpons had enough money to run the New York Mets properly instead of running them like a lemonade stand. I am thinking of Popeye is it Wimpy or something I forgot his name the cartoon charactor it was so long ago when I was a kid watching that, I will glady pay you tommorrow for a hamburger today that in my opinion sums up the Wilpons. Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
BSF, Val Pascucci has hit 2 homeruns in the last two months. He is completely useless here. And for winning at the Triple-A level, you need a mix of veterans and prospects. I don't remember a team that loaded up on the hessmans and Pascuccis of the baseball world and won. The Indians teams here until the last couple of years were the perfect triple-a team. They had the prospects like Brian Giles, Richie Sexson, etc and then would get a Jeff Manto, Dave Hollins or Torey Lovullo to supplement their weak spots.
That Pujols contract is awful, let's see what that looks like in 5 years. One player doesn't make a team like it can in basketball. Pujols does not get the Mets into the playoffs. Also, trading a cheap starting position player for bullpen help is one of the dumbest things a team can do. They did float him out there during the winter meetings to gauge interest but if all they could get was a good reliever I pass on that every single time.
Between the two, I'd rather have Familia in the pen and Mejia as a starter. Mejia gets a lot of ground balls and doesn't strike that many batters out. To me that screams starter. Familia on the other hand has the stuff to come in and strike out the side which is something almost all back end relievers have the ability to do. Both should be starters full time in Buffalo though to speed up their development. You can always move a guy to the bullpen once he proves he can't handle starting. Both guys turn 23 in October so another year or even 2 in the minors isn't that big of a deal.
Those Buffalo Bisons teams where loaded with vetern players not just hitters but pitchers also. For every Val Pascuccui I will counter with you with is Matt Den Dekker that much better? Matt Den Dekker is way over his head in the IL triple a and belongs in EL double a because in my opinion he can't hit on a triple a level so save me the prospects are wonderful most never make it and don't even last as long as a Val Pascucci or Mike Hessman you and I can agree to disagree. I realize you need prospect but not prospects like Matt Den Dekker, Nick Evans being forced fed through Buffalo on some fast track when there not ready or good enough in my opinion just because there prospects that is where you and I differ.
The Buffalo Bisons game friday I was at was brutual and it wasn't the Buffalo Bisons Disco uniforms on Disco Night that I am talking about. The bullpen for the Buffalo Bisons is a mess. The hitting which are New York Mets prospects are awful. The Buffalo Bisons season went bad when the New York Mets sat and let veterans like Bobby Scales go to Japan. Selling Omar Quintanilla to the Baltimore Orioles. Losing my favorite because he can play anywhere Vinny Rottino on waiver wire, calling up Jordany Valdespin and Matt Harvey and it was basically all over without good replacements even Wally Backman admitted that to out of town boardcast if you watch what over teams boardcaster which you get on MILB TV road games for the Buffalo Bisons that this isn't the same Buffalo Bisons team we started with.
No one said all veterans but veterans here till May and then the gone somewhere else what the New York Mets have been known for for there four years in Buffalo isn't going to get it done in my opinion. We can debate this for ever there is no right or wrong answer in my opinion. But the New York Mets don't care because they don't see winning with development look at the results both the Buffalo Bisons and the New York Mets are a mess that is my opinion and my position. My position also is that until I see other wise I don't see that changing very much with the Toronto Blue Jays as a organization because I have seen no evidence that they are really interested in doing much different from the New York Mets in my opinion.
Any prospect in a losing organization which both the New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays are is going to be called up yearly to sell the MLB teams fans hope in my opinion. I will also stick by what I originally posted the only way the Buffalo Bisons have any control on winning is either buying any MLB franchise for major league in Buffalo or going to an Independent League team for Buffalo neither likely happening. The next best thing for Buffalo would be the New York Yankees because they win even with no triple a home this season because the parent New York Yankees have no room for there triple a players much like when the Buffalo Bisons were winning with a stacked Cleveland Indians teams with Jim Thome and Manny Ramirez etc so there was no run in Cleveland at the time for Richie Sexton and Brian Giles etc in my opinion.
The Toronto Blue Jays only offer Buffalo there fan base within driving distance to Buffalo, new uniform possiblities for the Buffalo Bisons to line there pockets with money and some of there prospects are further along now in triple a but there double a team is awful and the possiblity since the parent Blue Jays suck so bad that there good prospects won't be in Buffalo long before being called up to Toronto that possiblity is definately there so I don't know what that says long term for the Buffalo Bisons and Toronto Blue Jays PDC when it comes to on field success in my opinion?
The only issue I have with you is that you believe that the Toronto Blue Jays because of a prospect here and there more then the New York Mets today are going to make the Buffalo Bisons winners that I question because the Toronto Blue Jays like the New York Mets are both losing organization with the same way of doing business over the years in my opinion. My take also was that if I was the Buffalo Bisons I would have shopped around before running to the Toronto Blue Jays if it was my deccision. Long term I think even through wagoncircler and I mostly disagree on almost everything, I think he is right about the New York Yankees long term the Buffalo Bisons need to be the New York Yankees PDC in today's times in Buffalo and how that gets done I don't care but figure it out if your the Buffalo Bisons organization in my opinion.
If that means the Rich family sells the Buffalo Bisons to the New York Yankees and Mandalay Sports Entertainment so be it in my opinion as a Buffalo Bisons fan. Because this stuff of bad on field baseball product because of the Buffalo Bisons greed with concerts and other events the Buffalo Bisons can't have the New York Yankees who will in turn putting a winning triple a baseball on the field in Buffalo is silly in my opinion. Why are we Buffalo Bisons fans supporting the Buffalo Bisons position of other events in the first place at Coke Cola Field over the New York Yankees PDC? Is it about baseball or just profits for the Rich family at the end of the day in my opinion? At the end of the day the Rich family for all they did that was good for Buffalo Bisons baseball at the time might be part of the problem now in today's times in my opinion?Let's Go Buffalo
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
