75% chance I'm going to Game 3 of the World Series. (As long as it's the Cards out of the NL)

ironically, it looks like San Fran is about to benefit from Melky's controversial all-star game performance.

SF's epic comeback just ruined my plans to go to the World Series.

They are such a good team though.

With the momentum they are going to be carrying in, I think they can take out DET. They need to win game 1 though.

Seriously??? You want another 40 year old on the downside of his career??? This team needs an adrenaline shot of youth and enthusiasm... I just font get this thinking anymore...

OK...any thoughts on the Miami/Toronto blockbuster trade, presuming that MLB signs off on it?

Loved it. The Jays are real contenders for the AL East now.

I don't think they'll win it, but I think they have a real shot at the Wild Card.

I may get to see relevant Blue Jays baseball in September for the first time since I was in grade school.
The Patriots are worse than a bunch of cheating bitches.

As of now, it's under review.

Dave Zirin, however, thinks Loria should be placed under citizen's arrest.

Were I AA, I'd stay as far away from that player as possible.

Back to the supertrade: No matter what happens, Toronto wins...if the trade goes through, the Jays immediately upgrade in areas they need; if not, the Jays show they're willing to make bold moves. That equals more people buying tickets for next season.
