Well we gave away the series in the end. Wanna make some money? Start betting against the Whitesox on sundays, you'll make a fortune.

the tigers NEED to use this series as a spring board and put the sox, twins, and royals behind them.

the indians will fade, im not worried about them.

Beckett golfing instead of playing baseball.

Good lord Boston needs to gut the team and rebuild. The core players are all douches.

Jays are sitting in a playoff spot almost halfway into May.

If we tighten up the bullpen and Joey Bats comes back to life, we should be sitting pretty.

I think the division is still pretty much up for grabs. But I see the Tigers having the edge this year. Your lineup is no joke. Haven't seen much of your pitching though, but you still have the most talented pitcher in the division.

I always pull for the Jays when they're not playing the Whitesox. I think they're the best team in that division this year together with the Rays. Baltimore will be crashing down to earth by midseason as they always do.

The Jays always crash past May, also.

    Hard to argue with that.

I think this team is deeper though. Normally they have a lot of guys exceeding expectations and they win some close ones in April and May.

This year Lind and Bautista haven't really been playing well and they've blown a lot of games and they're still in the thick of it.

Like I said if they can tighten up the bullpen, they could have a shot at a WC. Those young starters need to keep it up though, which I'm not sure they'll be able to do.

the rotation is solid. the bullpen is awful. they need bullpen help in the worst way.

I really like Alvarez. He's the key to the Jays success. If he wins 15 games they'll be in the playoffs. Book it.

My only concern with him is that he doesn't strike out a lot of batters.

Only 14 Ks in 7 GS this year. I'm afraid that might catch up with him.

Yes, his 2.6 K/9 is extremely low and right now the lowest in the majors.

I'm sure it'll go up to ~5.5. Even in the minors he didn't strike out a lot of batters. His career average is in the mid 6's.
He's an extreme contact/ground ball guy.

You don't need to K guys constantly to be successful. I don't think it's something you have to worry about.

Now, if his WHIP was ~1.4 and he wasn't striking anyone out you'd have a huge problem.
But his WHIP is 1.097 which actually places him in the top 15 for AL pitchers. He's doing well and has tons of upside.

I really like their starting pitchers so far.

Morrow and Alvarez have been lights out and Drabek and Romero have been very good as well. The oldest guy is 27 too, so it could be a solid rotation for years.

Just need to find that fifth guy, because McGowan has been injured far too often. I was reading a report today that they are looking to see if Hamels is available, so that would round out the rotation nicely.

Drabek is due for some serious regression.
His FIP is awful yet he's got a solid ERA.

He's going to have some BAD BAD starts coming up. Book it.

Hopefully Hutchinson can work through his current issues real quick and be your #4 or #5 guy but it looks like he may be on his way back to the minors.

Alvarez' low strikeout numbers are a bit of a concern, but I they are also generally overrated. Romero is the closest thing to an Ace for the Jays I'm a big fan of this guy.

The Bautista signing was a gem, mind boggling how the Pirates let him rot on the bench with their putrid lineup they had at the time, while he was actually hitting a lot of home runs in the short period that he was an everyday player. However the most coveted move the Jays completed was trading a washed up Alex Gonzalez for Yunel Escobar, who is a great defensive shortstop with above average offense for an MI.

Winning the best division in baseball will be toughe, we'll have to wait and see.

he has 18 hr's in 31 games. The guy's bat is blazing right now. And he's a free agent after this year. Texas should have wrapped him up before this season started. Could be watching a triple crown year. Matt Kemp has a chance too in the National league. I just hope Hamilton stays healthy. It would be nice to see where he's at with atleast 150 games.

What an ugly situation in Toronto last night.

Nothing quite like piling stupid on top of stupid. Umpire Bill Miller made two awful-terrible-bad calls, Brett Lawrie lost his ****ing meat-head mind and cost his team their best hitter right now for probably 10 games because he couldn't control himself.

I hope he stays healthy too. Got him in the 4th round of my ten team AL only league. An absolute steal. I absolutely love this guy and root for him although I'm not a Rangers fan. After what's his been through in his life to come back like that is just amazing and is a great story overall.

To me he's one of the most naturally talented hitters the game has ever seen.
