So i was just reading northwestfan's post about ralph wilson dying in the bills forum and i saw all of his awards that he has under his posts and I think it would be cool to bring back those awards instead of doing a hall of fame. I came in during the whole meltdown and whatever happened with the hall of fame voting, so maybe this would be a better idea and it would give credit to a wide variety of users, not just those who have been around for a long time and have done this or that.

The fiasco was not my doing. I have one account and only one. Nobody can tell you different. The accusations made about me knowing that my son-in-law had two accounts are false and that can easily be proved. All that was needed was any admin to open any of his posts and it would have been extremely easy to understand that I never knew it was my son-in-law. If that account has been deleted it should be restored and opened up and examined. If it is you'll see that what I claim has always been true. The Pelican Zero password was sent to admarc I just learned yesterday while visiting my son-in-law. So my question is why if he did that can't admarc access the posts by PelicanZero. He told me it's all in the pm he sent him.

It takes away the whole feeling of a hierarchy or higher echelon of posters who are in the HOF. Multiple posters are recognized for their individual parts and talents.
There already is a HOF with 10 honorees who are there for their contributions and work over a period of time. That doesn't mean there is a hierarchy and I don't think most HOF members consider themselves "better" than the rank and file.
I find it odd that a guy that just registered is making threads concerning the abolition of it, just because we have one bad apple and two guys that like to fight all the time coming into the voting thread.

Well, uhm, I never said abolish it. I just said it might be cool to do awards instead. And as I've already explained, I've been a long time lurker so I'm not brand new to people on this forum and it's evident that there are some people who think they are better than others considering they always point to their HOF badge when theyre losing an argument or when people call them not popular or the like.
My guess is that you dont want it to go away cause ur not already a HOFer and u were on the ballot this year and u want to be in, but ur probably going to yell at me for saying that so whatevs.

So, why don't you STFU and let the staff decide what to do without giving your half baked opinions about something you refused to participate in in the first place. If that's even the case. It takes tremendous audacity to give my opinion? How so? Isn't that what this portion of the forum is for. Does the staff not ask for our opinions in decisions? Or is this a dictatoship? After all it does say at the top of this forum "Introductions, FEEDBACK, and Help". This post was my feedback. No where does it say that only members who have been registered for so many years are allowed to give their feedback.

There is already a HOF.
It should go on because we have at least 100 deserving members.
If you stop it, the "hierarchy" remains at 10.
The HOF is for people with a body of work, people that have spent countless hours researching and backing up their opinions. Unlike you. You did say that Awards should be done INSTEAD. Sounds like abolition to me.
I haven't brought this up as others have, but the timing of your registration is certainly suspicious. You signed up a couple of months after the staff change and right when the HOF brewhaha was in full swing. After supposed years of silence, you now are quite opinionated. Like I said, looks fishy to me, you probably just set up a new account so you can pretend to be a newbie. Could be wrong, but I view your posts with alot of skepticism.

I think there is just a lack of communication between us, because I am in no way suggesting that we "stop" the hall of fame. i think its sorta weird for a message board hall of fame, but i guess awards are weird if u think about it too. All im saying is that if were not going to do a hall of fame, why not do individual awards instead. It was just a thought. Which i was told that this forum was for - for members to share their thoughts.
I dunno, I guess people will think im this person or that person and even though the people in charge have already said im not they will continue to do so and thats fine. I haven't been here for years though, i found this place last july when i searched google for tyson clabo buffalo news and a bunch of posts came up here so Ive been lurking since.
btw i just spent the last 10 minutes looking up these hall of fames and i find it funny that everyone keeps calling me "lit" because they hate the guy or gal for whatever reason and yet he/she was top 10 in hall of fame votoing last year. what gives?
