    In tonights start..
    Betances done after 3.2 IP 5H, 3R, 3ER (two still on base), 6BB, 7K.
What is it? Why can't we produce pitchers at all? The only 2 I can think of is mo and pettitte in the past 20 years. Is it something organizationally wrong. Do our scouts just not know what to look for? I mean you can pick any team and think of at least one stud they produced in the last 10 years we have zero... It's unbelievable... Where is our so called great farm system? There is zero evidence of it on our team...

Heres another thing I was thinking about. We are once again loaded. With players well past their prime. Our team right now would be a force if it was 2003. Lol just think Chavez, Andrew jones, ibanez, AROD, Jeter, tex, pettitte. Man we are old again, what happen to youth and athleticism? I think cashman needs to go. We need a fresh pair of eyes to look at this thing

I think Ian Kennedy is the last elite pitcher the Yankees farm produced.

Well that remains to be seen, he's had 1 elite season, let's see how it goes from there.

Yes I can say that. I shouldn't have used mo as an example, I'm more looking at SP's

The Charleston RiverDogs look absolutely unstoppable and this is exciting.

I got a chance to watch most of these kids last year when Staten Island came to Batavia. Pretty much that whole crew went to A+ Charleston together this season.
    Boy are they cruising.

Pounded out 14 more runs today.

In his third game for Triple-A Empire State since being send down late last week, Eduardo Nunez made a pair of errors this afternoon. According to Donnie Collins, the first was just a botched routine grounder and the second a missed catch at second base on a stolen base attempt.

I’m worried about his confidence more than anything, and Collins said it appears Nunez is playing as if he’s afraid to make a mistake. I got a similar vibe watching him with the big league team in recent weeks, and again, I hope he doesn’t lose all confidence and develop the yips or something.

Yeah baseball is a funny game like that. If you start thinking you're done. I remember playing little league at like 15 or so and my father was the coach, i used to vatch, but for some reason I could not throw the ball back to the pitcher. Too low or too high, only with runners on base though. My father made me sing my favorite song every time I had to throw the ball back, and it helped. It's all mental with Nunez because most are just routine plays I can make...

Its all mental at this point for this guy. He's an error machine and you don't get to the show by being one. He needs to find a way out of the mental shiter he's in because he's a good player but his chances will start to diminish if he can't get his act together.

Damn shame. I like the guy and he could be a solid player for the Yanks.

Hughes velocity is back up to 95. This could be a bit premature, but dare I say Phil Hughes is fixed?

The New York Yankees are 0-9 when failing to hit a HR. They've officially once again became the type of team that lost Joe Torre his job. They have become a station to station type team again, waiting for the big HR, and guess what? That's fine for the regular season but doesn't cut it against the top pitchers in the playoffs. I know its wildly early in the season, and a expect the Yankees to finish with 90+ wins and get into the playoffs, but I see them as going absolutely no where in the post-season.

The lack the ability to scratch and claw runs, against pitchers that are throwing well, they lack clutch hitters, big time. They are 28th in Sacrifice bunts with 3, they are 5th in the league in grounding into double plays with 36. They are 20th in the league with RISP hitting a meager .234. 19th with RISP and 2 outs hitting .229. They are old and slow. There bench players are way past their prime, there 30 million dollar 3rd basemen is average at best, their 25 million dollar 1st basemen is essentially a grossly over paid Carlos Pena. Their SS is 37 albeit having a great season. We hear time and time again about our amazing minor league system, but yet there is no evidence of it on the field. Roster spots that usually go to young up and coming prospects, are filled with Ibanez, Andruw Jones and Chavez, 3 players way past their primes.

The NYY organization has to realize something, if you want to develop your minor league systems, you have to get them up here and it will take time and patience, something the Yankees don't have because of their win at all cost philosophy. which is fine. But to a certain extent. They must realize that their mid-90's teams were built with young inexpierenced players and developed into all-starts. The core of that team were virtually unknowns, sprinkled in with some solid verteran leadership. Jeter, Posada, Bernie, Mo, and Pettitte...combined with Tino, O'Neill, Brosius, was a deadly combo. The Yankees, must start finding the next player at most position. Who is our future SS? 3B? 1B? RF? Where are these kids? I just don't see it. The Yankees need to blow it up soon, and start to infuse this lineup with some youth and fast...

What is going on with the Yankees offense ??? Its been completely MIA the past week. Hughes pitched "ok" yesterday but once again (like many others) got zero help from the silent bats.

Derek Jeter Admits He Only Plays The Game The Right Way For The Pussy
NEW YORK—New York Yankees shortstop and eventual first-ballot Hall of Famer Derek Jeter admitted to reporters Monday that the only reason he plays baseball with effort, modesty, and reverence to those who played before him is because it gets him all the world-class pussy he can handle. "It's not like I'm faking anything out there; I do genuinely play my hardest each and every night, but I also genuinely love digging balls deep into women like Minka Kelly, and I'd be lying if I told you those two things aren't related," said Jeter, adding that charity work and appearances at fundraisers are another sure-fire way to "line up the juicy wet love gloves." "In 2004, when I dove into those stands and busted up my face, the whole time I was running toward that ball I was thinking to myself, 'Threesome!!'" When asked for his opinion, Jeter's teammate Alex Rodriguez acknowledged that pussy is the only reason he acts like an arrogant asshole who's too good for everyone he meets.

    Cheers, BostonTim

In 2015 the lineup should look like this ..

    1B - Mark Teixeira
    3B - Alex Rodriguez
    SS - Eduardo Nunez
RF - Curtis Granderson (due to Mason Williams being in CF)

and your first 2 on your list 3 years from now is an absolute joke, they should be in the process of being replaced NOW...Can you imagine what they are going to look like in 3 years? WOW that's sad

Those are immovable players, Rocky. There's too much money tied up. They will be the starters for a long time. I'm not saying that I want that or think that's the best option. But unless something drastic happens that's what you are looking at.

That's part of my point on how dumb those contracts were to players close to their 30's. I mean how could I tell in 2009 that Tex's swing was going to slow down because it is too long and loopy and the NYY could not? How dumb was it to give AROD a 32 year old player a 10 year deal, i don't care what kind of year he had, its utterly stupid to give a 32 year old player 10 year contract...Now were stuck grossly overpaying for mediocre talent. I mean this i the NYY there supposed to be smarter than this, and they were in the mid 90's what happened?

The 90's teams had better baseball people making the baseball move, now we became the Cowboys or the Redskins, or the Knicks, we think the more money we throw at it the better... They need a new approach... They need to clean house in the FO, and bad. I mean think about the 90's team who was our biggest FA acquisition? that wasn't a pitcher? Now we go after the biggest fish and hope it works.. and sure we got lucky in 09 but the Yanks are going to realize that 260 million off season was not worth 1 ring...This team is embarrassing, I mean we hear what an excellent minor leagues we have but our bench and role players are who? Ibanez, Chavez, Jones, and frisking Dewayne Wise, are you frisking kidding me, we have no young kid that can benefit from some big league experience for a few weeks? its a joke. I'm getting sick of this team.

This is getting comical, if cashman retains his job after this 200 million joke he struts out there, i will be in shock... There is no light at he end of this tunnel... They will hit eventually, but they'll be lucky to go anywhere for the next 3-5 years...

The offense is dead right now. Its amazing how little they have produced the past 2 weeks.

They need to be smacked around hard. I know there's plenty of season left but its still quite troubling.

Get used to it, because our run producers are locked up forever... Realistcally they should be batting 6th and 8th in this lineup... It should go like this

    Jeter
    Swisher
    Cano
    Granderson
    Ibanez
    DH Jones or Chavez
    Arod
    Tex
    Martin..

I know you can't line up all those lefties in a row, but thats what it should be according to production... When Gardner comes back

    Gardner
    Jeter
    Cano
    Granderson
    Swisher
    Ibanez
    Arod
    Tex
MArtin.... Only 2 lefties in a row

Granderson has 13 HR's only 23 RBI's you gotta give him more chances with runners on base, he's our best HR threat...

Wouldn't argue with either lineup, only I like Cano at 3, technically the 3 spot is for your best all around hitter, BA and Power, but wouldn't complain with Grandserson hitting 3

The reason I wouldn't like Cano as a #3 hitter on my team (although he is arguably the best all around hitter on the Yankees) is because of his inability to draw walks.
