REPORT: Cosmo to Bandits to be finalized tomorrow

Unlike the other Buffalo sports team that occupies the First Niagara Center, the Buffalo Bandits are on the verge of making a major move that could very well save their season before it’s completely lost.

According to Steve Bermel of IL Indoor, the Bandits are close to acquiring goaltender Anthony Cosmo from the Minnesota Swarm for two first round draft picks.

A three time NLL all-star, Cosmo was drafted by the Swarm in the dispersal draft when the Boston Blazers ceased operations. However, location and contract problems resulted in Cosmo not playing a single minute for Minnesota. He was voted Goaltender of the Year in 2007.

Stay tuned to Queen City Sports for more on this breaking development.

Alot of NLL lacrosse fans around the NLL think that Anthony Cosmo for two first rounder picks in 2013 and 2014 was too much to pay the Minnesota Swarm. But BSF disagrees because one the Buffalo Bandits are making an effort to win this season and next which is great as a Buffalo Bandits fan. And two who cares about NLL drafts picks in a nine team league with Buffalo close to most of the indoor lacrosse talent and with all the money in the NLL in my opinion.

The Buffalo Bandits can just reload in free agency when Buffalo Bandits veterans retire down the road in my opinion. If you ask me most of the NLL teams are just jealous because they can't get fans to there arena and in my opinion too bad for them. The Buffalo Bandits do things the Buffalo Bandits way and the Buffalo Bandits way have 4 championships to show for it so far so who am I to question a winning Buffalo sports organization so I am pretty happy with the deal for Anthony Cosmo.

Plus the Minnesota Swarm of the NLL may not be in business in two years who knows the way NLL teams come and go in the NLL so in my opinion this trade is a win for the Buffalo Bandits. Atleast one Buffalo sports teams has the guts to try to win yearly. More then I can say for the Buffalo Sabres. And yes the Buffalo Sabres could have made the playoffs this season if they fired Darcy Regier and Lindy Ruff and made some trades like the Buffalo Bandits two months ago in my opinion. To late now through for the Buffalo Sabres in my opinion for NHL playoffs. If the Buffalo Sabres bring both Darcy Regier and Lindy Ruff back next season expect to be golfing by mid April again next season without making the NHL playoffs for the Buffalo Sabres in my opinion. Someday Terry Pegula will see the light with firing Darcy Regier and Lindy Ruff and the Buffalo Sabres will win the Stanley Cup in my opinion but the question is when will Terry Pegula see the light? Let's Go Buffalo

Our Buffalo Bandits are a mess right now at 2-5. There is still alot of the NLL season left but the Buffalo Bandits need to improve defensively fast in my opinion. Let's Go Buffalo
