This moves to Miguel Cabrera back to third. Now what happens with Brandon Inge?

Whow the Tigers will dominate once again. Fielder - Cabrera - Martinez

Talking about thunder in the middle of the lineup. Whow!

the worst player in major league baseball?

hopefully, he goes to some semi-pro team in idaho.

remember, martinez is out for the season probably.

This came out of no where..

Good for DET. Still need one more starter and can use a upgrade at a corner OF spot.

great news for the tigers. they should be a legit contender for awhile. too bad about martinez :(

Buffett, one of the world's richest men and chairman of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway Inc , said his federal tax bill last year was $6,938,744.

"That sounds like a lot of money. But what I paid was only 17.4 percent of my taxable income - and that's actually a lower percentage than was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office. Their tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and averaged 36 percent," he said.

Indians just signed Casy Kotchman .

Another lefty but at least this takes care of their first base worries.

    Indians looking formidable !

kotchman doesnt make the indians formidable. hes a decent first baseman with no power (corner infielders are typically power positions) with a .268 career batting average. its a decent pick up at best.

Indians already were formidable last year and going into this year even without Kotchman in my opinion . Kotchman has a career .998 fielding % at 1st which will help with all the sinker ball throwers on the Tribes staff.

1st base was a trouble spot seeing that Laporta has never lived up and now the Indians have multiple possibilities at 1st with their signing of Canzler and of course having C.Santana switch between 1st and catching duties .

If Pronk does his thing, Choo and Grady stay healthy for the most part and Asdrubal puts together another allstar season the Tribe will be right there in the end .

The Tribe was very young last year and had a nice run until their youth and injuries finally caught up with them .

Do not count the Tribe out , just saying .

..Jesus Christ MrBrady. Shut up about Cleveland, they won't do shit. If you think the Kotchman signing made them any time of contender you are crazy. He's going to regress so bad.

You know why he batted over .300 for the first time in his career?
    BABIP of .335.

He was way luckier than he's ever been in his career.
Dude won't even hit .270 this year.

He's a way overrated fielder too, at least a 1/3rd of the starting 1B in the league last season performed better than him.
Because he doesn't hit it's automatically assumed he's a fantastic world breaking fielder.

He's the Brandon Inge of 1B.

He hit .306 last year in 146 games played .

Indians have enough power in their lineup, they dont need Casey to hit bombs .

They need him to field the Indians sinker ball pitchers better against all the righties .998 field % and not K like Laporta was doing with risp !

This is a solid signing for the Tribe !

Dont be shocked to see the Tribe right there or ahead at seasons end, their early season success was no fluke last year , they got injured in all the wrong places towards the end of last season .

I dont care what anyone thinks of them to be honest , I know they will be competing for the top spot in the central no matter what any of us think here , you will see .

    Shut up ?

They got him more for fielding with his .998 fielding % to help with all the sinker ball throwers on the Tribes staff against righties , but you knew that right .

Do me a favor chump , dont ever tell me to shut up ok "mr admin" ?

    Great example !

So they signed an overrated fielder to help with sinker ball pitchers?

Kotchman is in the bottom half of the league for range. I don't understand how that's going to help them.

Know the facts before you post mindless junk.

So what he's got a .998% fielding percentage, because he only gets his mit on balls hit right to him.

Derek Lee is a better fielder than Kotchman.

Oh wait.. it's impossible Derrek Lee is a better fielder than Kotchman, his career fielding % is .994.

    Keep dodging.

...and yeah the Yankees ALWAYS sign defensive minded fielding players for their MASSIVELY sinkerball weighted pitching staff.

Dude.. seriously? Do you even know anything about baseball or the teams or the players?

Stick to the hockey forum where you can post about the shit you don't understand also.

You going to tell me the Tribe wasnt right there last season until they were decimated by injuries ?

You are the one that is talking out of your ass .

We will see I guess if what the Tribe did last year was a fluke or not .

I hardly think so , they have some great up and coming talent inside that clubhouse .

    Talk to yourself .

how come the indians can use injuries as an excuse, but the sabres cant?

dont forget, the tigers had injuries as well last year. boesch is a MAJOR part of the tigers lineup.

What injuries decimated their fluke, lucky first half?

Please don't tell me Grady Sizemore (whom is my favorite player in baseball) he did shit pre-injury.

This team finished 15GB last season... and they didn't get better whereas the teams around them did.

They won't make the playoffs and probably won't even have a winning record.
Surely you don't truly expect them to win the division or grab a wildcard, do you? If so.. reevaluate the rest of the AL.

The AL East could easily send 4 teams to the post season this year if it were allowed.
Don't forget about the AL West with the Angels and Rangers whom are both going to make the playoffs.

So you think Cleveland would make the playoffs over the Yankees, Red Sox, Rays, or Blue Jays? That's a laugher.
