Verlander coming out for that 8th with a 5 run lead and throwing 133 pitches was absolutely ****ing pointless. Leyland is an idiot.

On the flip side, the NLCS has produced some amazing games thus far.
    Really pulling for the Cards.

Just some info I've tweeted the last few minutes.

I think the Cardinals are proving right now that overpaying for an elite closer by name is sometimes nonsense. Jason Motte is automatic.
Jason Motte is having an even better postseason than you think. 7.0IP 1H 6K 79% of pitches are strikes. (4 Saves)
The #Cardinals have won the last 16 getaway games in a row. Aug 3rd was the last time they lost a game and had to fly.

I think they are going to take out the Brew Crew and head to the WS. This team is a scary good group of unknowns.

BTW, JATM, enjoying Pick6? I had a great night last night. Although I took Greinke, I still managed 56.7. Just shy of the top 10.

    ....sigh...

i know you are teasing, but im really deflated and disappointed. ive never experienced the joy of my team winning. so it hurts that much more when a team gets close and falls short. what could have been if boesch stayed healthy....

I can't stand Texas or most things about it in general. Here's to hoping they now have a team which can start a reputation for losing consecutive championships.
