    Jackson Hole, WY

I've been wanting to snowboard there for years, and I'm really looking into going this season. Anyone been? Where are the good places to stay? What to do at night? Any specific runs I need to do?

been there done that, its small and it is extreme. I skiied with Tommy Moe there and it was pretty sick. Make sure to drop into Corbets Coulier and Greybull in Casper bowl, it is a pretty small town so your options are limited but it is a very fun town so just ski all day and drink all night at the Mangy moose at night.

    cheers

What do you mean by extreme? Extreme terrain?

yes, very extreme. When we dropped into Corbets we were above a cloud and the ground was below the cloud, lol. It was like a 20 ft drop in just to get to the run.....and t- moe bombed it.....it was epic.

Wow that's significantly more hardcore than I realized. I've never done terrain like that and I'd likely be doing it alone.

There's always Utah. Better snow, better weather and better access. There is something to be said for following your dreams though.

I've been twice in the summer and fall. The Parkway Inn is really nice and in the center of town. Can't help you with the snowboarding as I don't ski or board. Too bad this wasn't 5 years ago, I could have got you free lift tickets to any of Vail resorts properties and Copper Mountain. They were clients of mine.

I love Jackson Hole and Wyoming in general, but Sahlens is right, my brother in law has skied all over, including JH and he only goes to Park City, Utah now. He says there's no reason to go anywhere else.

don't ski late afternoon or at night, just daytime ski. We were doin back country up there late afternoon and almost got stranded overnight because they shut a lift down, we had to hike all the way back up the mountain to get back to the other side and to civilization.
