Ugh. Baseball gets tiring even for the fan. So many regular season games just to lose the season in 5.

    Well that sucked ....

As much I disliked Girardi's over managing it resulted in 3 runs over 9 innings which is more than enough to win a game. In fact its pretty good.

Time to spread out the FAIL awards.

No. 1 goes to FAILRod for his putridness in redefining the meme "anticlutch" .... twice left the bases loaded and strikes out with the game on the line. Way to go dude !
Honorable mention to the 3rd base coach that held Arod at 3rd on the Posada sinlgle. I think he would've scored.
Yanks drop 2 out of 3 at home and can't come clutch with the bases loaded. In fact the only run we scored with the bases loaded was on a walk. Where's the clutch hitting ?? We left 11 guys on the bases. That's just unacceptable in an elimination game.

Oh well, another loooong off season lurks. Oh and time to make Robbie the new 4th bat. Arod's skills have significantly diminished.

Farewell to one of my all time favorite players Jorge Posada. For all the crap he took all year long he was one of the very few players that came to play. I think he got on base over 50% of the time he stepped up to the plate in the series and batted pretty well (.429 I think). Good luck with retirement.

I'm guessing we won't see Ryan Howard for ~6 months or so.
