    Model kits

For the past 15 some odd years I have built a decent assortment of kits as time has allowed. I have a few dozen aircraft, ships, and military land vehicles. Over the coming weeks I will upload some pics of my collection (most of which are 1/72 scale) and I might even post a set of pics showing construction of a 1/72 scale B-29 that I have been working on since Christmas. Anyone else share this hobby?

I started with legos as a kid (still love them) but the older I got, the bigger the model I wanted and I don't know if many people notice the price of lego models but they are ****ing expensive. During high school I picked up model cars and did about 7 of them. Much cheaper and I loved doing them. I always thought about getting back into them just never seem to make it to a hobby store.

Im just this Christmas getting back into it...I built a TON(im guessing well over 100) as a kid from say 9 or 10-17 or 18 years old..but when I went in the Military I just didnt have the time for it anymore. I figured that I had a bit more patience now than I used to that id try to get back into it and try to do a bit more "realistic" of a job now. I asked for a airgun/compressor for Christmas even got a WWII JagdPanther model made by Dragon to make as my "first attempt" after all these years...I have no worry that I can do a good job actually making the model but WEATHERING and making it look "realistic" thats what im a bit worried about ebcause ive never really attempted it on any real scale. I do mostly WWII/WWI Armor, a few aircraft some Sci Fi (got a Battlestar Galactica Viper to build also) and a Robotech/Battletrech/Mechwarrior Griffin model to put back together.) and also WWI bi and Tri wing aircraft you know Sopwith Camel and Red Barron Folkker types.

lol yup...I remember unlike now(my JagdPanther was realtively "cheap now days at $25) they were pretty cheap like $10 or less...after they started falling apart cause id play with them like a matchbox car and stuff would start to fall apart lol id find a firecracker or BB gun or .22 rifle and blow it up or shoot it to pieces lol...

I did along time ago, but had to quit when the glue started affecting my cognitive abilities.
