I would have done the same thing. You don't just not get Jerry Rice's autograph on a box of apparently Chicago Cubs themed fruit snacks.

    Nice Stuff Mecca.

I Collected a lot when I was a kid and I have got back into big time for the past 4 years or so. I have a very nice Bills Collection including about 20 Certified Autographed cards of Leodis McKelvin. I also have Certified Autos of Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Drew Bledsoe, a Bunch of Eric Moulds, Travis Henry, Fitz, Stevie Johnson, Byrd, Eric Wood and a bunch of other past and present Bills.

Also have Some In Person Autos from the Players.

Also have a nice Sabre Collection not as big though. But I do have a great 8/10s of Tyler Myers, Patrick Kaleta, and Max.

My favorite cards though are the throw back sets for all sports these would include Allen & Ginter , Topps Mayo, Topps Gypsy Queen, Topps Champs... I have a massive amount of these..

I love collecting though it very fun.

as of now im not looking to sell any Bills or Sabre stuff. If you have other players of interest or teams let me know.

    1) too many insert cards
    2) too many different brands
    3) EBAY took all the fun out of looking for the cards you desired
    4) Grading became too important.
    5) too many cards were printed starting in the mid-late 80's.
    6) steroids just tore a hole through anything since 84'.

My pops had most of the big cardsL Rookie cards from Mantle, Aaron, Mays, Ruth, DiMaggio, Cobb, Ryan...he had everything except the Wagner...but an old friend of hours actually did own what was believed to be the worst condition Wagner out there. That guy now runs the largest grading company service in the industry.
I think you be shocked at how well some of the newer stuff does and the vintage as well these days

There was a down period in the hobby when everything was mass produced and diluted the market place this be from about 88 to 95.

During this a lot of the companies started to try to figure out a way to survive and really succeed.

They came up with some good stuff including Certified Autographed Cards, Game Used Cards, and Interesting Sets that include a lot of parrells.

Sure some of these are a little diluted now but some Autos still sell for huge money you be shocked to see what Cam Newtons or other young stars go for.

Topps, Upper Deck , and Panini (Formerly Donruss) are the big 3 in todays market with some other small companies doing okay. Upper Deck is running into problems but are staying around.

Also Ebay is amazing as it has every card you could want and you can sell to such a wide market the thing that sucks is the Fees.

Card shows are less common but still around i know there a monthly one in Rochester.

I could keep going but The Hobby is Live and Well

Hey Mecca, Do you have any COA's with the Thurman or Vick? I'm a big Vick collector seeing as I've followed him since freshman year at our Newport New's Ferguson High School.

Thurman I got in the mail (Kept the mail stamp with the date) and Vick I got in person. I doubt you'd want it. He just initialed it and wrote his number.

I know you said you're not willing to sell or trade, but I'd love to see some of the Stevie Johnson autos as well as the Tyler Myers ones. I'm a big fan of both.

Hey Mecca, are you still working on a price for me? Or did you change your mind? No sweat either way, just wondering.

Recently I came across a box of 2000+ cards from my childhood. I was an avid card collector as a kid. Here is a small sampling:

That came from my dad's parent's attic many, many years ago - I have about 20 cards from that era. Multiple Sammy Baugh cards.

I'm going to hold on to them for awhile. But it was fun looking through some of them. I wish I had more time to finish.

I was ten years old. And you are seening shadows from my having scanned them. Some are a tad rough, but what you are seeing are accentuated by the shadowing I think.

I have 2 Ryan Fitzpatrick rookie autos that I am debating whether or not to let go. I haven't sold anything on eBay before so I'm asking here first for the fan's sake. The cards I have are a PSA graded 10 2005 Contenders and an ungraded Topps Finest Black Refractor #d 24/25.
I've talked to a few people about these cards before and am pretty particular to them, but I do think now's the time to let them go so I am flexible a little on price. i can't figure how to attach a pic to this post, but I have scans. Let me know! I will trade if something is awesome in nature.

Sorry about the sales pitch post. I feel bad about it and don't want to come off wrong. If anyone is curious about buying or trading cards please pm me and we can discuss it. Disregard my previous post.
