Brethern it is clear to most of us that Wagoncircler and I can not co-exist on The Range. We could try again however the reality is that before long the negative situation would return.
I apologize for any possible stress our interactions may have caused you.
As such, I have given some thought to a permanent solution that will put an end to the friction and enable the board to move forward in a positive manner.
What I propose, if Wagoncircler agrees, is that we end this in very gentlemanly manner quickly and as painlessly as possible.
My peace proposal is very simple:
(1) There be a vote eligible to all Range members (as of June 12th at 8:00 AM) wherein each member posts who they wish to remain on The Range by posting which of Wagoncircler OR SpikeLemonade that they wish to remain on The Range. No reason need be given and in fact it would be more efficient if simply the one name be the entire post. The membership should be able to determine and challenge whether an username is clearly a multiple username of a member by their posting history.
(2) Each member may vote only once and the votes will be tallied by Sunday June 19th at 8:00 AM. I will be busy that day with my 3 adult children as I am sure Wagoncircler and others will be busy with their children since it is Father's Day. Thus, the early voting cut-off deadline. That would be a voting period of one full week which should be plenty of time. Votes after that deadline will not count.
(3) On Monday June 20th at 8:00 AM, we will add up the votes and the non-winner will graciously resign from the Hall of Fame, wish the members of The Range a fond farewell and will never post on The Range again.
I do not wish to type anything here which may be seen as an attempt to sway votes one way or the other. I will not be campaigning for votes. Wagoncircler can choose to do what he wishes. I believe our existing body of work speaks for itself and it is my intention to merely answer questions posted to me publicly and no more.
Mr. Wagoncircler, can I please have your confirmed acceptance of my proposal?
Thank you.
