    The McBeane Vision

As a whole, I don't hate the trades. Adding draft capital to a team unlikely to make the playoffs is good business and tram building.

Even after moving Sammy and Darby and getting guys that are probably about 60% as talented as the players they are replacing, did we really hurt our playoff chances that much?

Pre-trade here's a list of teams that IMO had a much likelier path to the playoffs than Buffalo by tier:

New England, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Kansas City, Tennessee

    Indianpolis, Houston, Miami

The third tier is where it gets muckier, but given track record, schedule, roster talent and quarterback play these team are probably all a notch above Buffalo:

    Denver, Baltimore, Cincinnati

That leaves the Browns, Jets, Jags and Chargers.

I don't see these moves moving the needle much in either direction. We were a 3rd or 4th tier team before and this didn't drop us into Cleveland and NYJ territory.

If you had us at a 10% chance of making the playoffs how far does this drop us? 8%

If you aren't tram building what are you really doing?
