They're calling us "this year's Senators" because we may lose Briere and Drury at the end of the season. I thought that was a little bit of a stretch for their intermission segments. I was more entertained seeing Healy's helmet get knocked off and calling the other dude out on looking like Clay Aiken. Frankly the comment was a bit offensive. I really don't want our team compared to such a tail-between-their-legs-piss-poor-defensive-play-in-the-beginning-of-OT-by-Volchenkov-gap-toothed-wreckless-driving-terrible-lateral-movement-by-goaltenders-no-motivation-punk NHL team.

they were all over the wings' sticks... practically begging for williams to get the trick..

the only guy that even acknowledged the sabres was the guy on the ice between the benches. he had millers shaft real tight.

felt good to at least have the ice guy on our stick...

wow, that set you-off..lol good post, I think they over looked the fact that biron will walk after this year and that will free up 2 million..and we have a great farm system so maybe we can sign drury or briere...

Good post.

I love their ice-level guy all game, that was very cool.

I hope for Birons sake and the Sabres sake, we will trade him during this season. As much as having him as our backup would help I just dont want to see us lose him for nothing. As far as Chris Drury and Briere, I dont know, something tells me they will both be back but who knows

I kind of like that guy who was sitting between the benches last night, especially when I dont remember who it was for Detroit that broke his stick in OT and he starts saying "he came back to the bench and was like Fn Stick-F That stick" what other broadcaster talks like that

yeah, that comment was great.

it is "canadian" tv though. the guy who bought the Pens said "HOLLY S" on TV the other night when they first interviewed him.

he responded the next day with "didnt know you guys didnt say stuff like that on TV here in the US?" LMAO. this from the Blackberry founder/owner...

The guys name between the benches is Pierre McGuire-who did that same job for NBC last season (not sure if its coming back or not) as well he used to be a commentator during the intermissions last season on the OLN/now Versus games.

That's probably the greatest freakin job on the planet. Can you imagine having to do that and get paid?

I would love to just stand between the benches with a microphone, I am sure players on both teams would be saying some messed up stuff to me, I think that would be great

Yeah I got the TSN feed last nite too. Pierre is a helluva guy for hockey.
and Gord and his color man were oddly leaning towards the wings from time to time.
Im just glad I didnt get stuck with the shitty detroit announcers. yeesh, horrrrrrible!

I wish Center Ice gave ya an option to which feed you want to hear for each game. I am probably gonna get the MSG fee with Sam Rosen tonite. He aint bad I guess, but he aint no Rick Jeanerette.
But who is anyways?

To be fair, lately the TSN guys have been giving the Sabres props. In that segment about the Sabres being the new Senators, Mckenzie pointed out that there's no guarantee that Drury and Briere will stay, but there's no guarantee that they'll leave. He also said that Lamirello got out of his jam, and Regier might be able to negotiate his way out of this during the season. "Briere and Drury may stay for less, and there's no guarantee that someone will offer them $6M."

Pax.
