It sure was a nasty one, but damned if these kats are perssistent when it counts. many have noted their sluggish beginings will come back to bite them, but F that, let's charge up for those pesky Rangers TOMORROW!

I got home late and Sabres were down 2 zip ...After a tough week at work and waiting all week for a sabres game, the air was kind of let out of my ballon..But i remembered this are the Buffalo Sabres and not are ills.. They show heart.. A few kicked water bottles later ( nice move lindy) They came back and showed that same never, say die attitude, which I loved last year..Sure maybe we stoled two points, but who cares ..WE WIN ..and that's all that matters.. Bring on those candy ass Rangers ...

Vanek played a monster of a game. That's as strong on the puck as I've seen him.

PowerPlay and PK were pretty damn good, MILLER IS G0D!
It undobtably is... Miller Time.
This next game is a lock when they get home and Lindy tells em' to "do it for your family, friends and fans."
GO SABS GO!

Drury hasn't been great on SO, the best players in the SO are Vanek, Briere, Afinegenov, and Connolley.

i think given the way the scoring/game had went up to that point, drury was a LOT more deserving of the spot Max took...

That was one hell of a game by V after the team woke up. He played real strong tonight, I just want him to keep it up and shut up the naysayers.
Say what you will about this one (43-17, oi...) but I'll take the 2 and be 4-0 on the year. All good by me. :D

Vanek did look very strong last night, not just because he scored. I didnt like his shootout attempt, it seams like he tried that move everytime, where he moved the stick around the puck and then shoots, Hasek played it perfectly with the poke check

DUDE! He Had Hasek BEAT!
Hasek got a lucky poke check that just caught the puck... Otherwise that baby was IN and OT was Dun-dee...

anyone else just extremely impressed with Mair's work ethic and hustle? He's really opening things up for the sabres and really brought so much energy (perhaps the ONLY energy in the first) last night.

Totally, if Hasek wasn't lucky and got his end part of his stick on the puck it would have been a goal. I'm not even sure Hasek meant to do what he did either.

I used to never be a huge Mair fan; considered him a 4th line grinder who didn't do much other than play 4 or 5 minutes. Boy, Oh Boy how that view has changed. He is definately this teams' spark plug. Whenever the team seems to be in a lull, Mair will come out like a bat out of hell and get something going. You can really see the team feed off his energy after his shift.
Now, if we could only get Connoly back we would be unstoppable.

61 isn't much better at finishing on breakaways...
he adds to the team which represents [as a whole] a powerhouse.
