Here are the teams:

AL: Yankees,Minnesota,Detroit & Oakland
(ALDS matchups: Yanks-Tigers and Twins-Athletics)

NL: Los Angeles,San Diego,St. Louis and New York
(NLDS matchups: Mets-Dodgers and Padres-Cardinals)

Go ahead and make your picks....

I'll get it going:

ALDS: Yanks in 4. Let's not take anything away from Detroit-great season. But they should have sealed the Central Division a while ago. And they're banged up. However,Jim Leyland knows how to win in the postseason. Then again,so does Joe Torre....and Twins in 5. Minny has been on fire the past few weeks. Do you REALLY want to face off against Johan Santana twice(potentially)?

NLDS: Mets in 4. They're going to miss Pedro Martinez,no question-but the Mets should be able to finish off the Dodgers, yet having 2 good pitchers on the staff doesn't hurt L.A.. There's enough pitching on the Mets to get the job done. And hitting too....Padres in 5. Sorry, but the Cards are the NL's answer to Detroit. They should have wrapped up their division long ago and didn't.

ALCS: Minnesota in 7.

NLCS: Mets in 6.

WS: Mets in 6. Go ahead and rejoice,Guy. :)

ALDS: Yanks in 4, Twins in 5
NLDS: Mets in 5, Cards in 4

ALCS: Yanks in 6
NLCS: Cards in 7

WS: Yanks in 6

On a side note I will say that even though I think the Mets will win against L.A. I will not be surprised one bit if the Dodgers win that series.

The fun thing about these playoffs is that no matter what matchup you are talking about, it wouldn't surprise me who won. While I think there is going to be another subway series, a Tigers-Padres series wouldn't be a huge shock.

I think the Yanks and A's will meet in the ALCS with the Yankees making it to the series where they will lose to the Mets who beat the Padres in the NLCS. Of course it should be noted that as a Mets fan I personally am unable to make predictions that have them losing, so take those picks with a grain of salt;)

The Twins-A's series is definitely a tough one to predict. I think Oakland gets them in a very low-scoring series because they have the pitching edge. If Minn still had Liriano and/or Radke, I'd probably have predicted differently.

It's all moot, though, since the Yanks will win it anyway.

Division Series:
Yankees over Tigers in 3
Twins over Athletics in 5(I am going back and forth w/ this one, it's too close to call but i'll take the home team in game 5)
Mets over Dodgers in 4
Padres over Cards in 4

Championship Series:
Yankees over Twins in 6
Padres over Mets in 6(I want to see a Subway series but w/ that pitching I'm not sure the Mets can win the Nl even in a very weak NL).

World Series:
Yankees over Padres in 6
