O's fans did a walkout like Mike Schopp tried at the Sabres/Rags game a few years ago. They got about 1000 people. At least they got tee shirts. :)

I saw that on espn, at first i was just confused, i mean "free what birds?". But in all seriousness, the orioles need a lot more than new ownership to help that team.

Well, it is not that they are really cheap, they just spend their money in dumb places. They O's have had dumb signings over the years like Albert Belle and Sammy Sosa. And then they let BJ Ryan leave for Toronto. While I know that Toronto gave BJ a huge amount of money, he has been worth every penny of it.

True enough. Ryan may have been overused at times, but he was worth the money Ted Rogers paid him.

Now if the Jays can get someone reliable to be the #2 starter behind Doc,Toronto may be able to go places. Problem is: A. the pickings are slim(Lilly is one of the few decent pitchers on the FA market),and B. what do you do when Wells' contract runs out after next season?

The Jays have the number two starters with AJ Burnett, and Gastavio Chacin. The starting rotation is not the problem if they resign Lilly. Yeah, I wish they could find someone to replace Marcum, but the real problem is the pen. Besides BJ, League and Tallet, the rest of the pen is junk. Ryan is overused because the idiot manager don't trust anyone else. He also won't take the starters out no matter how much they seem to be tired, because he knows a tired AJ Burnett is better then a 100% Jeremy Accardo.
