The game was on ESPN2 last night and I caught a little bit of it. Tucson won 5-2 in a lackluster game. They didn't even know what to do when they won. It looked like the end of a random game.

The crowd wasn't very into it, as you can imagine. But it seemed to be better than the failed Las Vegas attempts back in 1998 and 1999,

There was no 12,000 there if the stadium holds 13,000, because there was more then 1,000 empty seats. I think the IL and PCL should rotate the championship game between leagues each year, and have the winner of the league host it. So if it was the PCL's year, Tucson would have hosted it last night, and the IL winner next year. It is hard to draw for the playoffs in minor league baseball, but even harder if the home town team is not playing in the game.

And go figure, Toledo was the home team because the IL won the All-Star Game.

Is that how they figured out who was home and away? I must have missed it if the announcers (who btw, where really bad) mentioned it on the broadcast.
