Game 2 of the preseason coming up!
Miller's in net...Max Afinogenov is in the lineup...
...and wow, Columbus picked up Anson Carter a few days ago and he's in the lineup tonight, as is Rick Nash and Federov.

Hard to tell for sure just by listening, but it sounds like Stafford is fitting in perfectly with this team. I don't think he'll make the team out of camp, but it'll be interesting to see what he does in Rochester this year.

yeah, its now 3 to 1.. and we just blew another power-play. it sounds like we're getting a lot of chances, just not finishing them.

Yeah, not exactly a sparkling 3rd period for the guys so far. What a shame this game means absolutely nothing. Columbus can feel good about themselves and we can shrug it off with the solace that the Jackets have about as much chance of beating us for the Cup as Washington. Better that Miller and the guys have their bad nights now, that way we just kick ass when the games count.

Umm, aren't they winning? At least they're putting up a better fight against us than toronto did, so right now I wouldn't be assuming they're bad.

I got one thing to say to you....SCOREBOARD. We are a good hockey team and put up a great effort tonight, columbus is a better team people give credit for because people always look to their record.
I just say that because I know you were sarcasic, and you don't like very smart right now, but I'm sure you'll make a million excuses for why we lost. I wouldn't be surprised to see we win the rest of our pre-season games except this one, then we'll see who gets the last laugh bandits.

It sounded like Stafford, Paille and Paetsch each had a pretty good game. Hecht had some scoring chances that I remember. Kotalik had about five shots in the first period during a power play but couldn't score. Can't remember much else...

LOL, ok scoreboard it is. You better calm down before you get banned again and then cry to come back.
Next time when you post something, try to make sense and spell words right ok? I can barely read that mess. I dont even know what you're talking about, what would i make excuses about? We will see who gets the last laugh, and I know its going to be me.

So they lost 3-1, did anyone on the sabres stand out. I didnt listen to it.
The final was 4-1, but I thought the Sabres were the better team. Miller was very average, giving up 4 goals on 26 shots but only maybe 5 of those were good scoring chances.
The Sabres had 41 shots on goal, most of those against Ty Conklin, who was pretty damn good tonight. It was all about goaltending tonight and Miller came up short...no big deal...that's what these games are for.
Drew Stafford sounded pretty good...Paetsch and Paille were a factor again and Derek Roy was one of the Sabres' best players again. I wasn't able to focus closely on the 2nd half of the game though, so I'm not sure who else stood out.
Overall, I was very satisfied with the effort...the team showed up and played hard but goaltending made the difference.
BTW, Columbus could be freakin' awesome this year...I see them making the playoffs and doing some damage this season. Definitely a team to watch!

Whooooooaaaa. Easy fella.
Anyways, from listening to the past two games, I have to say that my opinion of Derek Roy has really, really improved. He sounds awesome.
