STAUNTON, Va. (AP) - A former tight end with the Baltimore Ravens pleaded guilty to stealing a credit card and buying $41 worth of groceries and gas.
Pedro Edison was placed on three years' unsupervised probation in a plea agreement. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of three years in prison, all of which were suspended.

Edison was a rookie with the 2000 Super Bowl champions, spending most of the year on injured reserve. The Ravens rescinded his contract offer in 2001.

He was accused of stealing a credit card from a member of a fitness center on Dec. 4. He pleaded guilty Friday to felony charges of credit card theft and credit card forgery.

While attending Virginia Tech and East Tennessee State, Edison was convicted once for kicking a car window and another time for eluding a police officer.

If he gets convicted and goes to jail, maybe he will no longer be a "tight end."
