1) Haven't seen this posted, but according to Business First ( http://buffalo.bizjournals.com/buffalo/stories/2006/09/18/daily8.html ) the Sabres sold 22,000 tickets on Saturday and will likely have sold more tickets for the 06-07 season than the 05-06 season before opening night. Impressive.
2) Are the figures from sabresinsider regarding the salary cap correct? Our 22 man roster is at a 43.93 million cap figure? We may need to use that long-term injury exemption on Connolly as someone else is inevitably going to get hurt.
3) Can anyone confirm how many 2007 draft picks we have? My guess is that we have 9 picks, our original seven plus a 4th from Vancouver and a 7th from Edmonton. Is that right? Figure at some point this year we'll get a 2nd for Biron and we may be in a nice position to wheel and deal come summer.
