I love NYC sports... The "Ran-jerks" in particular...

They stack their rosters with over the hill has-beens to sell more season tickets, and in recent history haven't been in a whiff of championship. Unless you count the Yankees... they have more of a monopoly really.

Point is they spend the most money, have the most teams, but don't really get the bang for their buck that they intend. Perennially out of real contention and more concerned with revenue than a winning product.

NYC SPORTS
NYR- 12 years.
NYG- 16 years.
NYI- 23 years.
NYJ- 38 years.
NYY- 6 years.
NYM- 37 years.
NYK- 33 years
NY/NJ Nets- 38 years.

Now you tally all those years without a champion
203 years total...

BUFFALO SPORTS
Braves- 8
Bills- 46 years
Sabres- 36 years

Buffalo sports= 90
NYC sports= 203

Keep in mind NYC sports perennially max out their payrolls and have 2 teams... yes TWO in every major sport, frankly this level of failure in the sight of such monsterous, spending is exactly on par with what I've come to expect from NYC sports.

Stuffed shirts, Big Money, Big Mouths, Diminishing Results...

I'm tired of you I really am... whenever I see you run your mouth I will post this so you can stare in shame at the truth. I encourage others to steal this and post it immediately after NWF runs his mouth about NYC sports I'm tired of ignorant know it all New Yorkers running their mouths before looking at the scoreboard.

Can't even buy a championship right anymore....

I wish there were an ignore button to ignore the posts made by whoever you choose to ignore. But you're all forgetting something elementally simple, NWF is a confessed loser who has no life or real friends. He makes rediculous posts here to get attention and make himself feel important, I guess jerking off gets old if you do it as much as he does. If no one ever responded to any of his posts he would either go away, kill himself, or just get banned for constant spamming. Let's all do something he can't seem to do, use our brains.

What?!?! The Sabres have a much bigger rivalry with the Flyers than the Rangers do. That's based solely on the fact we've played the Flyers in the playoffs eight different times. That's tops for both teams.

I'd much rather see a Rangers/Islanders than Rangers/Flyers anyways.

And what the hell does being in a small market have to do with rivalries?!?! Are the Oilers and Flames not rivals?

Flawed logic IMO.

Their 194$ million dollar payroll is larger than the GDP of several small countries east of Europe and is 74$ million higher than the next highest team. The fact that they don't win the World Series every year with that kind of spending is a little unsetteling.

Whenever a salary cap is brought up in baseball it gets shot down because of teams like the Yankees know they'll lose the competitive imbalance that pushes them to the top year, after year, after year....

Meanwhile league attendace slides, TV ratings drop, the league threaten contracting teams, and on... and on... and on.

Teams like the Yankees are killing baseball while pretending to be it's hollowed icons.
At least Buffalo teams only kill themselves and not the whole sport.

Flawed logic.... yeah.
Biased... probably.
More than NWF, sure hope not...

Actually, that's wrong. It gets shot down because of the players union. If there's a salary cap, players won't be able to make as much money as they do now.

Rigggght.... and the Yankees as the biggest market in the league have no sway whatsoever on how their league operates, compared to say... the brewers or pirates.

Guy Incognito

I'm all for a salary cap in baseball. There is no reason any team should be allowed to buy victory every year when team with just as rich a history in the sport are relegated to second-class citizen status within the league.

It's bad for the sport... great for the Yankees.

That's a scary thought... too bad the ownership in the MLB doesn't have the same kind courage their NHL and NFL counterparts showed. F*ing sad they could let it get that bad, F*ing sad teams still take advantage of it.

There is NO RIVALRY BETWEEN THE SABRES AND LEAFS! I am not even a leafs fan and I can tell you that people in this city flat out don't give a crap about the sabres unless they face em in the playoffs or something.
