Because I have better things to do with my time than watch crap. One of them's called work. I can name quite a few things I'd rather watch than them.

I usually enjoy a movie during the evenings.
Not much into any news channel.
For laughs I sometimes watch Keith.

Now there is logic. Your kids must have loved you when they were growing up: "because I SAID so!"
Do you think this downturn in O'Reilly's career will allow him to figure out he is gay?

CBS...corporate (Viacom)
ABC.. corporate (Disney)
NBC..corporate (GE)
PBS... viewer supported and government subsidized
MSNBC..corporate (GE)
CNN... corporate (Time Warner)
Foxnews....corporate (Newscorp)
FACT
Yup you are right Uppy, the media is too damn corporate and is now just a tool in marketing the interesting of the five parent companies that own more than 90% of the media in this country. This does stifle free speech and now the government wants to limit independently owned internet sites. I wonder how hard the corporations that own the mainstream media are lobbying for this? See the media is more interested in aiding the interests of their corporate parents than they are of supporting candidates or a paticular party. The president of CBS News in fact said that the Republicans were better for business. Here's a link. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6173187/site/newsweek/

I think the reason people are not watching FAUX as much as they used too is because the nation is pretty much burned out with Neocon Republicanism.
