one of the potential candidates says they can't just go for a few states and hope for the best...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ and do a search for Mark Warner;failing that, head to http://www.rawstory.com/ and look for "Warner backs wider Dem strategy".
He's right on the money,IMO.
Do not be surprised if Warner gets some serious run in about a year or so. (Right now,I'd consider him,Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack,Wesley Clark and Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh as people I'd keep an eye on.)

Wesley Clark would win the White House, IMO.
Perhaps Bayh. I know verry little about Warner and Vilsack.

Gov Bill Richardson is running and I hope he wins.
The Serial Offender Sen Joe Biden is running and if he keeps talking will drop out before the Iowa Caucuses.
For the Dems to win they need to articulate what they stand for and it can't be "We are not Republicans". Also, people are shifting away from the GOP, but they are running into the arms of the Democrats. The Dems articulate a lefty platform, they may find themselves out in the cold for another 4 years.

Joe Biden or John Kerry would get trounced.
Almost anybody other than those two and who knows the dems gotta chance.
I think Bayh would have the best chance along with Richardson.
Wesley Clark and Warner are maybe's.
Run Biden and get slaughtered.
Run Clinton and who really knows.
Run Kerry and down you go again.

It's time for a change that means dump all the old tired names.
You don't care for Hillary or Kerry do you?
I thought you once said you didn't care for Hillary.
Have you changed your mind?

Have you changed your mind?that's what the primary is for. elect the democratic candidate. whoever wins - that's the candidate.
some of us actually prefer democracy.

but for kicks, bill richardson is a good guy - would be a good candidate (best out of those posted so far).... mark warner is turning out to be a little too DLC for my taste, hillary would be a-ight, and joe biden is a schmuck.

Believe it or not I think Richardson is a good guy.
He is the most likeable of those mentioned.
I agree with your feelings on the others you mention also.
Biden wow that guy needs to shut up.
Thanks for showing me how to spell schmuck he is that also.
I just thought of one more maybe as a V.P. Obama what's your opinion of him if you have one he's new but extremely popular.
Great speaker IMHO he will be a heavy weight soon if he isn't already.

He was a politcal officer he got his stars by kissing clinton's and
carters ass.He worked in the carter white house, and I think it was in the
mid 80s the Army passed him over for Colonel twice (kicking him out)
and carter went to Sam Nunn and begged Nunn to get him on the
Colonels list.He stayed a Col. until his man clinton came along and
kissed his way to general.
He made his rank by kissing ass,and not by doing his job as an officer.

I'd say Feingold and kathleen Sibelius. Or Sibelius and Warner. Sibelius only has one check against her -she is a woman. Other than that she is from a traditionally strong GOP state (KS) and this means that she knows how to win in unfriendly states for the DNC. Feingold is a sound politician and knows how to work with the GOP. I would really like a Feingold and Sibelius ticket. Sibelius is like Hillary but doesn't have all her baggage.

Biden has some kids in his closet or else he would have run by now.
Clark is the most qualified candidate to deal with the foreign policy disaster that the Bush administration has created.
It'll never happen though.
The Dems will kill him before he gets going.
He is an outsider.

I think what you say is right on the money he's an outsider of sorts.
Do you think he would be helpful as a V.P. on someone's ticket.
Or will the machine just spit him out?

His talents would be wasted as a VP.
If he is unelectable as a Presidential candidate, I would rather see him in the Secretary of State role.

IMO, Wes Clark would be a great step to restoring America to a plce I am proud of.
But in reality I have little faith this will occur.
Our country has been hijacked and will not be handed over without a fight.
