One of the F.B.I.’s most wanted fugitives, Warren Steed Jeffs, the leader of an offshoot Mormon sect who was wanted for sexual offenses, was captured in the Las Vegas area after a highway patrolman stopped the vehicle he was in during a routine traffic check, officials said today.

this case is going to be interesting for several reasons. Among them will be Seperation of Church and State. I am anticipating reading the trial transcripts and the decision once it hits lexis nexis.

Here's a little more from cnn report.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- Nevada state troopers found one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, along with wigs, cell phones, laptop computers and about $50,000 in cash, on a highway north of Las Vegas, authorities said Monday.
Polygamist sect leader Warren Steed Jeffs, 50, was a passenger in a red 2007 Cadillac Escalade that was pulled over along Interstate 15 shortly after 9 p.m. (7 p.m. ET) Monday.

My God Daughter lives in Las Vegas. So glad they got the parasite off the street.
Have you ever watched America's Most Wanted. You would not believe how many freaks/pedofiles they are looking for. It just sickens me.

John Walsh does a tremendous job with America's Most Wanted.
So sad that his son Adam's killer has not been found.

It's been many years it would be great to see that case solved.

NOT that I'm defending this POS, but I was surprised that you can get on the FBI's Top Ten List without having killed someone.
I think he is charged with Sexual Assault which is by its nature a violent crime, but I would have thought there would been 10 other sickos bumping him off the list.

was it really sexual assault or was it more like molestation.

Perhaps both -- which is bad enough -- but NOT really a danger to society in a violent way kind of stuff.
Again, I don't want to defend this guy since his "preachings" have NO doubt messed up a lot of women and children for the rest of their lives.

A harrowing tale of police heroism in the War on Mormon Sexual Terror. Good work cops!

Nor do I, this should be a juicy case for religious rights reasons and for seperation of church and state. It will be fascinating reading the transcripts of this case. IMHO this case could go far into the federal court system.

Our top ten list for the FBI runs from Osama to THIS guy?
Hell, I'd be suprised if some of the people on this site aren't on that list then. Victor7 just advocated putting a few rounds in the President a few hours ago.

I remember this case about a man who lived across the street from a little girl in Canada.
What he did to this girl sends chills up my spine.
He strangled her and stuffed her into his refrigerator. Sick bastard.
