Apparently, Junior Seau wasn't ready to retire just yet, despite his impassioned claims to the contrary.

League sources have confirmed that Seau, who announced his retirement from the NFL just three days ago, will fly to New England on Thursday night and likely sign with the Patriots as early as Friday, according to a report by the San Diego Union-Tribune.

I really don't see him as a pat. Could be, but I doubt it.

Yea, he's not any good any more. This shows how pathetic New England's linebacking situation really is. But I wonder if it is legal for him to get out of a contract with miami by retiring just to sign with the pats later. Isn't that why Barry Sanders never came back because the lions wouldn't let him out of his contract?

I imagine the Pats would have to compensate the Dolphins with something.

with what. The only thing this might mean is that perhaps Brewski won't be there on opening day. Other than that I think this is a joke.

Draft pick or something? I don't know how that sort of thing works, but wouldn't the Dolphins still technically have the rights to him if he returned?

Is his contract up? I dont think he signed a very long one. Mayeb his contract is up and he used retirement so he the miami fans didnt turn on him for walking.

Won't stop Tedy from playing in game 1 and being the only thing the announcers talk about all game. "Forget Takeo Spikes coming back from a torn Achilles tendon, Tedy Bruschi is playing even though he fell in his driveway on his way out the door this morning!"

Apparantly the Pats are thin at inside linebackers position.
