Biron and Max's salary would cover Danny's salary

It doesn't happen. Sorry. Max is here. Briere's future is in question.

No way, Max ain't goin' anywhere. Essentially 3.33 a year is a deal. Someone (JP, Tree) and Marty are gone and our payroll sits around 39 mil. Maybe not, though. These up-coming days are gonna be a blast. There's gonna be some moves. This whole offseason is a surprise so I expect some more.
Welcome Pheonix, there's a very strong contingent of Bills/Sabres fans around Denver. What's it like in P-Town?

I like Max and I hope Darcy finds a way to keep Max and Danny but in all essence it's almost like we would be trading Max and Marty for Danny and I would take that any day
Hopefully it doesn't come down to that and Darcy can pull a little canadian named Briere out of his top hat and we can get on with our lives cause as far as i'm concerned if he manages to keep most of this team intact (- mckee, griere, biron, maybe jp) he's a friggin magician

You have the same problem I do as far as the Sabres only coming to town every 8 years or something stupid like that
The last game I went to wich ended in an exciting(sarcastic) 0-0 tie at americawest arena(now u.s. air center, or USAC as we like to call it) was full of Sabres fans wich is usually the case when the Sabres or Bills come to town cause as we all know there are WNY transplants all over the country
The cool thing is I bartend at a popular sportsbar in Tempe (hot college coed capital of the world) and over the years i've met tons of Sabres fans from sporting my jersey's and other Sabres gear while i'm behind the bar and of course even though noone here likes hockey I alway's make sure at least one of my t.v.'s behind the bar is dedicated to the Sabres if their playing and trust me i've received more shitt than an infants diaper for this but over the years i'd have to say we have more Sabres fans than Coyote fans cheering for their team in my bar

how many times must i point this out?!?
"Max is one of the most exciting players in the NHL," Sabres general manager Darcy Regier said. "We look forward to keeping him in Buffalo for years to come."

I think it all depends on what kind of deal we give Miller.
Then everything will go down.
Also I take 3 years of Max and who ever we get for Marty over 1 year of Danny any day. If we dont deal Briere this year he will be walking next year i promise you. because he will expect us to give him a 3 year or 4 year deal for 5 million a year and we will not do that and some team will.

Biron and Dumont should definitely be dumped for future purposes. I know Dumont's a popular player, but I really don't think he's all that good. He's definitely someone who we could part with and continue ticking just fine without.
I really want Danny here for a long, long time.

If Dumont leaves then Briere is probably gone after this year also. I guess they are very good friends (both french canadian). I really don't want to see Kalinin go because he has the stuff to be a #1 or 2 dman in this league. This team only has so much money to go around. Either Dumont, Kalinin, Mair, Hecht(maybe), Kotalik, or Campbell are on there way out.

Drury and Grier were also great friends as well. USA boys, but i still stand by dumont and biron, kalinin is possible, but i would like vishnievski to take his place, if possible.

Briere is probably gone after this season anyway unless he takes a paycut in January. I don't think it has anything to do with Dumont.

you don't just sign your top scorer for only 3.3 million and then ship him off to keep someone here for 1 year 5 million

We should move Max and Marty instead, but they won't. Sad....

couldn't agree more, remember these are gauranteed contracts, dumont could be down to 15 goals in 3 years, that's why we didn't try to sign him before arb.
