If you take a look at the literature of some of these groups you find that they are against homosexuality, drugs, immorality, alcohol, prostitution, and all manner of decadence etc.

Perhaps this is the reason they hate America....

No they hate America because we :
1) support Israel
2) are trying to dominate the resources of that part of the world
3) support Israel
4) are seen as hypocrites in our foreign policy
5) Did I mention we support Israel

Of course they hate us for the reasons you list but they really hate us for our pro Israel foreign policy.

Don't forget that radical Christians hate radical Muslims, too. We should send both sides off to the moon and let them kill each other while the NOT-SO-RADICAL people of the world rejoice.

Iran hates the US for several reasons...

Israel
We helped Saddam win
We represent what they were when the Ottoman Empire was the most advanced culturally and scientifically. They want their mojo back.

Reasons Iran hates America

#1-They sided with the Nazi's in WW2, although not doing much to hurt the Americans, America refused to leave them alone with their own elected government and installed the shah to help supply them oil, and become Americas puppet in the middle east

#2- Iran hated the shah, and when revoloution broke loose America funded the shah millions and millions of money for protection. Even with protection the shah lost to the Ayatollah, and they blame america for many of the deaths in the revoloution.

#3-Iran was becoming prosperous, and the thought of a new persian dynasty in the middle east was becoming more and more possible. If the ayatollah could take out the shah, it could surely take out Sadaam Huessien. Anyway, America funded Iraq with millions and millions of dollars to build chemical weapons, and wipe out 3/4 of the Iranian army.

#4-America did a shoddy investigation for chemical weapons during the Iraq/Iran war
