What Landis did today was absolutely amazing, I thought he was dead after his collapse yesterday, but boy was I wrong. F'N AMAZING!

It is pretty normal to have a bad day during the tour and to return from it in form. The other teams made a mistake letting him go away that far, they probably underestimated him after yesterday.
Better than Armstrong? Armstrong was a machine. But what Landis did was more exciting. Pretty interesting tour this year, hooray for the doping scandal. Really mixed things up a bit.

I didn't mean he's better than Armstrong. If Lance was in this race he would be leading by 20 minutes IMHO. But going on a suiside breakaway like that was a more impressive stage win Lance ever had.
I work overnights and woke up around 9, turned on the race and the first thing I heard is that Landis was virtually in first. I looked at the tv and said "What the F...". I couldn't believe that he was doing that after the disaster the day before.

Reread what I posted...No one was in Lance's league, but Landis's accomplishment today was greater than any that Armstrong achieved (on his bike - so that doesn't include the fact he beat cancer) in his 7 wins.

Then change your thread title, as it implies Landis is greater than Lance, which we all know is a lie. Enough berating posters who disagree with your title, change it, or accept the fact he couldn't hold Lance's jockstrap if he was told to by the USPS. One stage is squat, LA was down a few times and came back to win stages, and what matters, the overall title. So b4 you tell me to re-read a post, rename your thread. Makes for less arguments.

Right, because thread titles on the Range are never misinterpreted. :rolleyes2

1st I hardly berated Sabres244, I only stated that he didn't read the post.
2nd who the hell are you to complain about berating posters?
Lance, Ullrich, and Basso would probably beat Landis this year, but to say Floyd couldn't hold Lance's jockstrap is rediculous. For starters you don't were a jockstrap in cycling(so come up with insults that make sence), and secondly who do you think did all the work for Lance for many of his victories? Landis dragged Lance over the early climbs for years making it possible for Lance to attack on the last climb. If he didn't have Floyd in 2004 Lance wouldn't have beaten Ullrich and Basso.

Let me think, its been a few years since I've been in school. I have a BS in Physics and a BS in Mechanical Engineering...I might have taken a math class or two.
As for the title, it is a bit misleading however the post isn't. Instead of bitching about this how about just reading the posts. I finally understand why your a Jimmie Johnson fan, you just read the results and don't actually watch the race....j/k

LOL, good one WE! My point was this: I don't make a thread saying "Bonds is better than Ruth", then in the post say, "Bonds overcame so much turmoil and still passed Ruth." BB is not better than Ruth was, regardless of his passing Ruth's HR mark. I mis-interpreted it as you saying Landis is a better racer than Armstrong was. My bad. I apologize. But I agree he's a hell of a biker that came back from supposedly being out of it. But Lance did also b4.
As for the "who am I " quote, everyone's entitled to their opinion, and yes, I berate people for dumb posts. So if you disagree w/ what I say, say so. I'll either admit wrong, as above, or show my side. I don't care personally what anyone thinks.

Ok good for you, but why don't you admit that the topic of this thread mean Landis is better than Lance, a 5 th grader would say it means the same thing

Well, I doubt ">" is commonly defined on athletes. It could mean anything. Landis is more attractive than Armstrong, Landis has more testicles than Armstrong, Landis is more popular than Armstrong, etc... .
But that's nitpicking. Congrats to Landis for winning the tour '06!
And who knows if Ulrich and Basso really could have beat him. And if they had ever been that strong without illegal help.
Scary Good
