Not everything requires an exclamation point!
Though it is funny to think of Marty as angry. I think he would be funnier angry.

It sucks having to lose such a class act who has been a great soldier for this organization, especially when he was in a tough position, could have been a distraction, but was still a terrific teammate.
But, unfortunately, the Sabres have no choice, and this is one situation that, in the end, will probably work out very well for both parties.
But I do think Darcy should at least contact him directly, talk about the situation, and tell him thanks for all you've done.

^^^I think he was being sarcastic
As far as Biron, I like him a lot but its like one of those amicable break-ups both Parties want it, Biron wants to play and the Sabres want to free up some cap space, so everyone will be happy when it's done.

you make a great point here and one that I've never understood if you're going to let a guy go or try to trade him. in instances like this why not make sure that you keep him abreast of teh situation. Somtimes I get the feeling that gm's in whatever sport feel justified in treating their guys the way they do because of the huge salaries they pay them. I'd like to see a little more courtesy extended to guys in marty's situation.
I aslo wonder if you were up front with a guy who you were looking to move during the season and treated him with respect and like a man, made him feel like he was part of the process, if he would still play as hard as if he weren't being traded. I would guess that he would. who knows

I for one will just say we should move Biron already...at this point I just want a decent back-up in return. Just get rid of him Darcy, and move on!

Columbus might be a good fit for Marty with Denis gone.

Yeah I think Darcy should give Biron the common courtesy of trading him sooner rather than later. The guy has been nothing short of a class act since he has been a part of this organization. I say best wishes to Marty and hopefully we will get something worth while in return

Is Mathieu Biron still a Panther? I can picture Marty in a Florida Panthers jersey pretty easily.

Mathieu Biron was last with the Washington Capitals; I don't believe they offered him a contract for 06-07.
Could be a nice fit here as a spare part for the league minimum too :)
I mean, can he be worse than last year's #7? :mad2:
