I know I am.
And NYSP and the Chautauqua Co. Sheriff's department are going to look damn silly if he doesn't turn up inside their perimeter. They have really gone all in on this one.
If he hadn't allegedly shot that trooper over in Chemung Co., I'd say let him go on his way. He's not worth the man power or the money.

But that is the problem, he shot the cop. You can't let him go after that.

Allegedly.
And even if he did shoot the cop he isn't worth all the man power and money that this search is using. Ridiculous. And I will guarantee that if he had allegedly shot just some random guy, in a carjacking let's say, he wouldn't be getting anything near the attention that he is.

i am still perplexed as to how someone is so stupid as to escape from jail 4 days before he gets released.

Yeah. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Here's a question...does anyone know why he was in to begin with? I know it was a parole violation, but what crime did he commit before?

Being from the area he's been in and out of jail for a slew of things mostly auto theft though.

Can ONE of you produce evidence that 1) He shot that cop, and 2) that he's in this County? Didn't think so. GO BUCKY GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And BTW, how many threads do we need about him? Get the story straight, set one thread, and do it!!
Most of you have not one clue 1) Who he is, 2) why he broke out, and 3) Where he is. So STFU

Saw this in the Buffalo News today...
At the time, Phillips didn't realize that he had only four more days to serve before being released. He had been in the correctional facility since Jan. 6 on a parole violation after allegedly making a threat about his daughter during an argument with his parole counselor.
But the parole board didn't act on the felony charge after hearing evidence. Instead, it opted to force Phillips to serve the maximum 90-day term permitted by state law without a formal charge. Phillips believed he had months, even years, to go before being released.
And so he bolted when the opportunity arose.
Recalling the night before Phillips' escape, Lang said he tried to tell his friend that he might be freed soon because of the parole board's failure to formally charge him with threatening his daughter.
"Gary, I can't take that chance," Phillips replied. "They accused me of trying to kill my daughter. Even if they do let me out on a technicality, the No. 1 restriction they'll put on me is I can't see my daughter."

Maybe he's going to make a run for his daughter. At least that's how I'd write the ending.

They told me I was under arrest," she said. "I said I hadn't done anything. I asked them what it was for. They said for aiding and abetting."
The three Glosses were arrested last Wednesday morning, after daybreak, at three different locations: Norma Gloss at her daughter's home, on Bard Road, Cassadaga; Tracie Gloss, handcuffed on the porch of her Dunkirk home, while still wearing a nightgown; and her husband, Eric, at some property they own in Cassadaga.
All three were released after their attorneys talked with the State Police, family members said.
An attorney in Chautauqua County, who is familiar with the case but is not representing any of the three Glosses, explained the reservations he had about such arrests.
"My concern is when an individual is taken from their home in handcuffs, against their will, by members of any law enforcement agency, and detained for any length of time, whether it's minutes, hours or days," the attorney said.
"In my opinion, that constitutes an arrest. They just weren't charged. What's the State Police explanation for that?"
Nice work Coppers.

The .38-caliber handgun thrown by fugitive Ralph "Bucky" Phillips when he was being chased into the woods in Chautauqua County late last month was the same weapon used to shoot a state trooper during a traffic stop in Chemung County, State Police said Saturday.
Trooper Rebecca Gibbons said the handgun was linked to the June 10 shooting of Trooper Sean Brown by a ballistics test at the State Police laboratory in Albany. Brown was shot in the abdomen, then treated at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira. Brown's description of the gunman immediately made Phillips a suspect.

All I need to know is that he shot a cop. THAT's ALL I NEED TO KNOW. I could give a royal **** about anytihing else. Fact is, the Troopers state that they are 100% certain he is the guy. Now when a cop is shot the police don't want just ANY suspect to asrrest, they want HIM! The actual guy that shot their brother.
With luck Bucky will be cornered and shot in the face so that he cannot have an open casket.

You are right, these are police that we are talking about. Low scum in society. They deserve to get shot, right? Or at the very least never believed because they ALWAYS lie, right?
I tend to trust the police until I have reason not to.

Nobody could be as tired of Bucky as me.
He sits around watching soap operas all day, he doesn't clean up after himself, he farts without saying "excuse me," and he eats his boogers.
I tell you, the reward goes up to $500K, and I'm turning him in, brother or no brother.

Hurls you make me sick with these comments. Did it EVER DAWN on you that the cop that he shot might have been...
1.) A husband?
2.) A father with children?
3.) Someones brother?
4.) Someone's son?
The police officer contributes to society by protecting and serving people that he does not even know. Yet you seem eager to side with the felon. Unbelievable.

You see you guys DON'T KNOW that he is the wrong guy. Not one goddamn shred of evidence to contradict the police. Not one. Just what "you think". So you are willing to let a cop shooter go free based on "a hunch".
If the State Troopers are after a particular guy for shooting a cop then you had damn well better believe that they think he is the guy.

First of all, Im not Hurls. Secondly, theres no proof whatsoever that he did it. Ok, they claim they found the gun he "used" Yeah that sounds real legit. They got escaped from jail and the police are too stupid to find him and I think thats more funny than anything. They have all the state toopers and everyone and they can't catch the one guy, what a joke.
Until they prove he did, or didnt do it, I'll take Buckys side. All you know is what you read, you dont even live up here, so you dont even know whats going on with stuff thats updated on the news stations here and everything anyway.

First. Sorry Hurls. My diatribe was meant for this guy.
Second. Since when did we have to convict a wanted man or a fugitive before having the legal authority to "bring him in"? Second, I can get tons of information on the net. I don't need to be up there. You think because you are within 100 miles of the act that you automatically know more? That is a joke and you know it. Third. Your first statement is a doubt based on nothing but hatred of the police which is backed up completely by your subsequent statements.
In fact, this statement borders on pathetic:
"Ok, they claim they found the gun he "used" Yeah that sounds real legit."
What?????????????????????????????? WTF makes this sound illegitimate.
Stop hating cops. They may save your life some day.

Bucky STILL broke the law by breaking out. And no, I am not too concerned if it were an isolated incident. NO process developed by humans is statistically perfect. None.
