I would agree, hoewever, at the time, the music scene was average. The Beatles were just playing what they knew, and what would sell. Yes, Revolver and Rubber Soul were the first great Beatles studio albums, but they weren't the first good ones. The live Star Club (Hamburg Germany) album is great. The kids were on uppers all the time, but you can't deny the energy they brought to the stage. Help! is also full of good tracks. Revlover and Rubber Soul were the first albums where the songs seemed to go together and fit into the concept of "ALBUM". so, I definately see your point, but my knowledge on the subject won't allow me to agree.
