AJ Shannon has been traded to the Edmonton Rush for a very high draft pick.

Traded to Edmonton for the third overall pick. Buffalo also sends their 1st round pick in 2007 to Edmonton.

I think we got ripped off. Whos so great we need the 3rd overall pick for to give up a first next year? Is this draft that deep? There has to be someone they want real bad, but would he even be there at #3?

All I know is whoever they draft sure as hell better produce this year, especially in tranisition because that struggled badly once AJ got hurt, plus we gave him up AND next years 1st round pick.

MTBF on wingszone brought up a good perspective; could be a SJ goalie coming our way for that 3rd pick (please be Cosmo). Think BIG picture Brando!

True, that would be sweet, but then what? We sit someone of Cosmos calliber until chugger is toast? I know chugger has next year atleast left in him so, whoever we'd get wouldnt really play I dont think, goalie wise.

I dunno, unless AJ is so banged up he can barely play we got screwed hard. 2 years ago's #1 overall pick, and next year's 1st rounder for #3 overall. We better get somebody amazing.

They couldn't find room to protect him in the expansion draft, he would have been picked up right away. Plus Darris never liked the fact that AJ played field in the summer and not box.

Poorly run club from top to bottom.Always a hundred changes and then they make some more but the results are always a muddled mess.

If Chugger has one year left in him, we really can't afford to deal for a star calibur backup. We'll need to snag one after this season, but I think that #3 pick will be used to replace some of the offense AJ gave us. Maybe after next season when we finally win another championship, we can make a trade for a 1st rounder to use to get a goalie.

Ok so we trade Shannon then unload another #1 next year so we can draft someone to replace Shannon who we gave away???? Now thats the Bandits I know!
