tell you what, we were lucky today. Played like shit for an hour, then when Lennon and Rooney came on the team finally started to look like a decent side. 2-0 flattered us a bit to be honest. Just so glad we are through to the next round. Must improve though.

We will play either Ecuador or Germany (!!!)

If we win the group and Germany finish second, we play them in the last 16. If we lose and Germany top their group we will play them. If Ecuador win their group and we finish 2nd, we play them, or if Ecuador finish 2nd and we win our group...

sure theres a better way I could have explained that!

Really looking forward to the weekends games where I'll be able to see them all. USA Vs. Italy should be a good one. As will the Aussies Vs. Brazil... wouldn't surprise me to see the Aussies pull off an upset.

She's not much of a sports person. Besides the games are all on during the afternoon...she has to work, so I can stay home and watch them ;)

My 9 year old son wears his (vintage) England jersey to school, though, and both of my kids have white England backpacks to tote their baseball gloves and water bottle to practice/games.

Looked like Owen did his ACL to me. Tournament over. Joe Cole's goal was the best of the cup so far, but yes we crumbled as usual at the end. Need to play better in the second round!

Now England can start Crouch opposite Rooney. Even tho personally, I would play Walcott. But Sven doesnt want to start him because Sven has no balls.

First off michael owen is not garbage, he is just having bad luck at the moment. Secondly they should not play walcoot. the should play a 4-5-1. How would you know how good Walcott is, i doubt you have ever seen him play.
