Favorite playoff moment '06?

What was it for you? For me it was a toss up between the Pominville goal to clinch the Ottawa series or the Campbell hit on Umberger. I think I'll go with Pominville.

Note: Game one victory against Carolina was great also.

The Campbell hit came during the first period of a Sabres game I saw all year long. I thought then, that you guys weren't lying about what a special team this was.

Oh definitely Dumont's OT goal in game 3. That game made me really think that we could possibly make a huge run this year.

You know, I loved Hecht's goal last night. It was that moment where I thought the Sabres had made it. I was wrong, but that goal made me the happiest of the playoffs.

The last 2 minutes of regulation/overtime of game 1 vs. Ottawa. Connolly sets up Roy to tie it at 5, and then ties it again after Bryan Smolinski's shit-eating grin.

Oh what might have happened if Shaefer didn't knock him out 2 days later. I honestly don't think Carolina would have had an answer for that guy with the way he was playing.

I think my favorite moment was Drury's game-winner in Sens Game One.. To see that TEAM, emphasized, go crazy was such a delight to see. We rode a team to the seventh game of the Eastern Conference Finals this season, not a goaltender, and this TEAM will be back again. I love these guys.

I haven't seen anyone bring this one up. In game 1 of the Ottawa series, Buffalo is down 3-2, and Connolly pulls the sickest curl-and-drag move on Wade Redden and then backhands it past Emery to tie it at 3. It was a sweet goal and a pretty important play because Buffalo was short-handed and the way things were going Ottawa could have burst that game wide open at the time. I know most of you guys hated Darren Eliot, but I thought he put it best: "Thaaaaat's Filthyyyyyy!"

It was at that point that I "KNEW" the Sabres would win that series and would overcome any obstacle to win The Cup.
